WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Something - with which Chris the pink is acquainted IIRC. Plomari.

:P

Much more fun than your hand shandies protein shakes!

Could someone educate me as I haven't got theverything foggiest and it is the only thing that annoyed me today:)

Plomari is a place on Lesvos and the "only" place to buy Ouzo from ;)

It is indeed and after many years of careful and repeated testing, we are fairly sure it's the best of the easily found brands. I dare say there are some small producers somewhere (probably on Lesbos) in the same way as there are producers of malts in the islands but Plomari seems to be easy to obtain in supermarkets and duty free shops as well as being very pleasing on the taste buds (if you like aniseed.)

The only problem is that after a session with this Lesbian, I need a lie down!!!

Night night all!

Not that much fun then, I don't need a lie down after a protein shake, I'm in no way incapacitated and can continue to have a lot more fun before and after.(y)

A session with the lesbians is worth it. The Olympics has just finished. You've got another 4 years to get fit again.

Wcmu yesterday; North Cyprus. We went to see some friends who moved there. What a fantastic place, great people, fantastic food and none of these western chain restaurants that are so plenty full on the south side. I hope it will remain like that and next time will prefer to make that side our base.

I prefer trying to remain fit all year round, every year. I've known too many people the same age and younger turn into old fogeys. I don't watch the Olympics anyway. (y)

Going to buy a new Blue Ray DVD player in Currys and they actually had the one I wanted in stock for a change :)
But whilst there I looked at sound bars, didn't want one with a base speaker and really liked the look of a Sony one that
had a built in base speaker,, you stand the TV on it, sounded good, guess what none in stock but they can get one for me.
Great can it be sent to the Horsham Branch rather the Crawley, no they deliver it to my home !
Not really much use as I'm not in during the day that often so no thanks :(
Remembered we have a Sony shop in Horsham so popped in there, great news they have it in stock so bought it :D
Got home and spent ages sorting the DVD player out then onto the sound bar, got it wired, went to get the remote and.
it isn't
minutes to closing time I phone the shop, expecting to be told they will have to order one in, but no they have one in the shop
and I can collect it today or they will post it to me and many apologies :)
Can only imagine what would have happened if I had bought from Curries and that happened, would be bring the whole thing back and we will exchange it
for you.
So a bit THANK YOU to Sony and also for a 3 year extended warranty for a sum total of £6

Hot Picks on the lottery, for two numbers I chose 22 and 23 and won £60,:) for three numbers you win £800, I only did 2. Next week I'm going for 11,12 and 40. Fingers crossed.

Watching the new version of The Jungle Book, very funny in parts, brilliant film

That reminds me, got to the King of the Swingers on the way back from holiday in June so must finish watching it and free up some space! (Old Disney version.)

A half decent round, a good sound system in the car, sunshine and grabbing a sneaky portion of calamari while I wait for Mrs. Nod to finish her class. And putting this thread above the WAMT one for a minute or two.

WCMUT? the absolute look of disdain on a ( woman's) face driving her BMW X something or other, turning right into the side turning,
that I was turning right out of, correctly positioned, just left of centre and a few inches behind the double white lines.

She wanted to cut the corner, and tried, its just unfortunate that I happened to be driving something as big as she, almost too late, she saw me and swerved wildly to avoid modifying her car.
The round of applause, I guess, didn't help the situation :D

She knows. :P

Pick up the new (to me) car today :)

And got a better offer for my old car, free collection to be scrapped. As opposed to the last one, who would scrap it if I paid them £30.

Collected the new car yesterday, very happy with it, especially at the price we paid.

Not much of a car person, we live pretty much city centre, I walk to work, so it's just for doing stuff with the family on the weekends really. Had been driving a 53 plate ford focus, which was in rubbish condition.

New one is a 57 plate (early 08) Ford Focus C-Max 2.0L TDCI Zetec. Feels really nice to drive, fair bit quicker than the focus too

The new full face snorkelling mask that doesn't fit me properly does fit Mrs Nod well and gives her a lot more confidence when snorkelling.
Going snorkelling!!!
Being sat outside at midnight in a T-shirt and being warm.
Getting this thread back on the top of page 1!

Take care snorkeling. In some places it can be quite dangerous!

Like on the motorway.

That's a place for full SCUBA gear...

Anyway, bedtime for me!

Discovering a new taverna within easy walking distance of our accommodation. Maybe that should be rediscovering since it's on the same site as one of our old favourites before they relocated. Excellent food, decent (and cheap!) house plonk, delicious freebie post meal tit bits and a huge friendly puppy (who's going to be mahoosive next year!) as well. Plenty of other things as well, not least it being 4 years since I was scared s***less at the prospect of brain surgery on the morrow.

WCMUT?
Logging in and finding that no one has been banging on about their holiday today.
I know it won't last, but I'll then switch to WAMT :p

:P

Seeing an old friend, even if he has got a new baby since we last saw him and his wife. We think she was visibly pregnant last year but we didn't ask - some people are a bit touchy about things like that!

Better than that though was spotting a kingfisher (or some kingfishers) flitting about over the harbour and actually managing to catch one on the wing, just after it had taken off from the mooring warp it had briefly perched on. I'm sure I old get a far better shot with the "right" camera and lens along with far more patience than I have but I'm very happy with this cropped snap.

Never going to win any awards but it CMUT!

Oh, and of course the fact that it's my fourth rebirthday today! Stuff Mother Teresa's "miracles", Mr Haden performed one on me 4 years ago and I shall be grateful every day for what he wrought!

How right you were ;)

The look of embaressment on some guys face when he spent 10 minutes trying too reverse 20 yards up a forest track to a parking place,
and realised it was a female driver after I took far less time to reverse nearly half a mile to one behind me

I feel exactly the same way about this, the brilliant Mr Jones of Royal Berks did the same for me 10 years ago, I celebrated mine on the 7th of March.

After years of waiting, and "oh yes it has" and "Oh no it hasn't"
Fibre has finally arrived to my small corner on the outskirts of MK!
Fingers crossed for running water and electricity now

OK so its not the fastest, but its phenomenally better than the decreasing speeds from that shower that goes by the name of talk talk!
Recorded speeds of 0.13mbs was the slowest. and 0.8 was the fastest over the last few months,

This will seem like a rocket sled on rails compared to the above!

We estimate your download speed will be between 28Mb and 40Mb, and your upload speed will be between 6Mb and 7Mb.
The minimum guaranteed speed you can expect from your BT Infinity will be 23Mb.

And all for a fiver less per month( for 12 months contract) than I have been paying the other clowns

Talk talk do some good fttc deals as well :coat: :)

Its a shame they they can't do basic BB isn't it?

To the point of me complaining, to the CEO, my mate Dido, and them saying there is nothing we can do, I suggest you change suppliers.
That little gem is in the hands of the Ombudsman ;)

Couple of things, really.
As one of the engineers at work is leaving and having got on well with him in the short time I have been there, I had bought him a parting gift. The engine programme we are working on is code named Fox, so I bought a small stuffed toy Fox, although the engineer is Cypriot one of the other engineers thought he was of Mexican decent and he became known by some as The Mexican and I managed to get a small sombrero that was the exact size for the stuffed toy. As I may not be at work the day he leaves, I presented him with his gift today and he was over the moon with it.

The other thing was the 4th year apprentices had come out of their time this week and appointed to their own dyno test cells. One of them (a Joey Essex lookalike) came walking down the corridor killing himself laughing, he'd reported to the foreman that his test room was out of action and wanted to know what he should do. Foreman's response, "f***ed if I care, you can have a w*** if you like."

And that my friends is how for 2017 you can order a Ford Focus with wankel engine :p
