WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Par 3 18th. 147 yds. 8 iron to six feet. Holed the putt for birdie in front of the clubhouse terrace.

Seeing on the radar that there's a rain front approaching from France.
Just hoping it doesn't dry up before it gets here!
I need it cooler tomorrow. :)
Just so long as it's not raining at Silverstone on Sunday.

I'm assuming there's something on there which piques your interest.
Me? Couldn't give a rat's. :-)

British Touring Car Championship. :)
Silverstone is not a nice place in the rain.

I hope you told the truth and said "no chance, I have a Nikon" :p

It's rumbling about here and we have had some rain, still hot though

Big distance between Silverstone and me.
I'll send you any sun in return for any rain. :-)

Water!!
Water is falling from the sky!!!

Ha. It's a beautiful day here!
The forecast shows sunshine:

Edit: I've actually never seen those rainfall (blue) bars go off the scale like that before. I'm going to need my waterproof trousers on my bike tonight! And perhaps a snorkel!

Definitely will need a snorkel for the dog walk - we've had the most rainfall in 15 years that I've been here as far as I can remember.

WCMUT: Waking up to the sound of thunder, the rain ticking against the window and roof. I love that. Then shortly followed by our children running in and we all listen and watch the storm from bed. Love it. Well until we thought we heard it struck nearby, and about 20 minutes later could hear quite a few sirens. I hope they are ok. All nice and quiet now, just the rain keeps coming down. Can't wait to walk our dog, but definitely wellies and waterproofs today.

Apart from a bit of rain, it hasn't yet amounted to much here. :(
Damn those North Downs.

It was absolutely hammering it down at 6 am today "the other side" as I was travelling down to West Malling!
Lightning was lighting up the night sky when I started out, which was curious as it was in the west, not the east!

Oh you're baaaad.
He was a cute little thing!
The Glis that is.

Glis glis are really sweet - ALL the meat is nice and close to the bone!

Always nice to get a nice finish to a round, even if the rest of the round was crap!

WCMUT is having the cat home with us, even if that does mean we're back in the UK. :(

Flapjacks baking in the oven, the fruit replaced with the sloes that have been soaking in gin for nearly 11 months, that was recently decanted
Seems I accidentally added a small measure of the sloe gin too .. I hate waiting ....
:(

Better to add the gin at serving time - reduces the alcohol lost to evaporation!

CBA to stick the sloe in front of the gin! 100% agree with you on gin in general though - urine of the devil's crabs...

Well worth the (very little) effort. prepare, and forget for at least 6 months, just dont forget to give it a little shake from time to time, and you will be rewarded with a nice rich liqueur :)

give it a little shake from time to time

Fnar, fnar!!! [/finbar]

Got a bottle of sloe gin somewhere - must be about 20 years old!

Sounds like it maybe just about ready then

It has to have improved with age - couldn't be any worse than it was when we were given the stuff!

I spent about four hours yesterday strimming on some difficult land - steep, holes where trees had fallen and lots of very long grass.

This morning I ached a fair bit and really didn't fancy raking up.

I'd just spoken to Mrs Tringa who was experiencing one of the big thunder storms, but here the sun was shining and as I started raking there was a familiar sound.

I looked up to see a raven and a buzzard having a right set to, or rather a raven seeing off the buzzard.

I thought what have got to complain about; this is good.

WCMUT was a cat cuddle after I'd massaged the cramp out of my left calf this morning. Didn't get rid of the residual ache but did take my mind off it for a while!

Euphemism?

WCMUT?
A ban for Nod, for breaking the classified rules.
No Alcohol, (well the item is certainly out with the spirit ) and trading out side classifieds.
:D

Available for collection, Heather!

No euphemism!

Feel free to ban me from the classies - I keep them minimised anyway! :P

Oh did I say Classie's ban? Obviously I meant site ban :p

That's only within the 52's, elsewhere there are strict forum rules to be adhered to :p

Beer for breakfast. That's enough to cheer one up! It's a Bavarian tradition. I'm a guest at the Oktoberfest parade.

Yes. The TP upload from the phone frustratingly doesn't recognise the orientation. And it's not possible to edit it.

Here comes the beer!

Which it's all about. This is the Augustiner brewery. A real favourite around here.

Driving home in the early hours this morning and seeing a gorgeous fox, that actually stopped and waited at the side of the road :)
