WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Having a Pizza in the sunshine in the garden area of the local Pizza Hut.

I love the smell of R in the afternoon, reminds me of speedway!

Blowing the cobwebs (almost literally!) out of the Triumph on a 20 mile blat for lunch. Got damp on the way home but I was 1/2 expecting that anyway. Still nice to be out on 2 wheels!

Finaly after over 8 years of surviving with a 400mm 5.6 and a 300mm f4 for my wildlife photography i am upgrading to a (used) 500mm f4 .
This all came about as its the only way i could move forward with my photography, and one of my daughters recognising the fact that i had to miss out on long lenses to get my kids through university , i couldnt have asked for a better payback when half the money landed in my bank account .....:):):)

WCMUT was getting 1/2 way home after a quick 9 holes before the heavens opened! Still persisting down (much to the cat's disgruntlement!)

WCMUT was finding a mankini... Be afraid. Be VERY afraid!!! :D

You know it's possible to abtain a court order based on publicly made threats, right? ;)

I could (possibly) get away with it on brane dammige grounds. :P

Then again, a wardrobe malfunction could cause gross indecency (as if me in a lurid green mankini isn't gross and indecent enough!!!)

Mindbleach, anyone?!

Just do it...I could do with a giggle after small human tried chopping is thumb off this afternoon :(

You haven't seen how tight the bloody thing is over my branes!!!

WCMUT: watching swifts flying in and out of the stables, 100s of the buggers!

Was only talking to someone the other day about how we haven't seen any swifts yet, good to hear they are back now (y)

WCMUT, I have a day off tomorrow, weather supposed to be warm and sunny, time to go walkies with a macro lens :)

The swifts are mostly decorating the car and have been for at least a week here. I seem to be in their bombing run flight path!

I've tried right, left and even leaving the veg outside the constraining material!!!

Waking up after 7 hours of sleep was a good start. Having an afternoon pass (we were both expecting a delivery so one of us needed to be in - I won the toss!) so I could go on a course made the day even better and having an exceptionally good result on the course (21 Stableford points over 9 holes will make sense to some) was cream on the scone! 10 minutes before I got home, my delivery arrived and 10 minutes afterwards, Mrs Nod's got here so that was jam on the cream on the scone. A trip to the tip (deep, deep joy...) and Sainsbury's saw us come home with the makings for a fish pie and since the Sun was shining, we had a large Ouzo as well (practice for next month. :D:D:D). A good day for me.

WCUMT - the bloke winning the case against the Dept of Education for taking his kids on holiday. About time!!!!

Just a few things that cheered me up yesterday, as per the thread title. :P

So far today, it's been a nice, sunny blat on the Triumph followed by it sailing through its MOT.

Seems we are upgrading on the infinity BB round here, speed going up and monthly allowance by 5gb.

I don't do much catch up, films, gaming etc so have never bothered with unlimited, never get anywhere near the 40gb allowance I have at present

Finally getting my phone unlocked, now to research a decent sim only deal with good coverage

I pay 16 quid on EE unlimited text and calls 4G 2 GB I think, it might be 4Gb but I never get close to 2Gb anyway.
I travel a fair bit, the only dead spot I've found in nearly 2 years, is at the bottom of a quarry in darkest Kent.

Yeah I'm with EE but TBH their customer service is getting worse, even in the shops.
When I went into the local store to get Voicemail sorted and phone I bought unlocked just got
told I had to ring customer services, an hour of queuing to and the talking to them got told the shop could have dealt with both,
quick text turns on voicemail, and as the phone isn't registered to the account I have to go to the shop to get it sorted.
This really is the final straw after a few other problems I;ve had including massive overcharging when I renewed the account in August,
2nd time this has happened, and I've ended up paying 3 times what I should because some ejit put the wrong allowances on, first tinme
I actually stopped the DD to make them listen.

I know the coverage is good, but also been told that BT is too, so might get a PAYG sim and try it, just also wish someone
would do something without millions of texts, rarely use them

I pay the same for the same with Vodafone.
Don't worry, Kentish quarries are renowned for that :D

With regards to my WAMT cconcerning idiots queuing for the boot sale. Overnight rain must have put them off and so very little traffic.

Touch wood I've had no proplem's with them.
in fact they were very helpful the only time I dropped into the shop. But I can see how that lot would p*** you off.

I know the coverage is good, but also been told that BT is too,
I'm not sure if they do yet, but BT are about to own EE ;)

The competition regulator has given the final clearance for BT’s contentious £12.5bn takeover of EE, Britain’s largest mobile phone network.

O2 coverage is quite good. I'm on Giffgaff. They're rather incompetent though. They still haven't managed to implement an allowance system correctly. It expires your allowance early so if you use your phone at the wrong time it comes off the new allowance not the old one, even though the expiry is clearly stated. Until I wrote to the CEO they thought that was ok!!! They still haven't fixed the issue. I complained about it months ago.

There's also the people's mobile or some such name. They're on EE. They're a not for profit. Worth checking out. If they had 4g data I'd have switched to them instead of giffgaff.

Yep found that out today, trying to get hold of a BT sim card to try out, seems it's only a few weeks away.
but BT don't seem to allow anyone else to have their sims cards, but I think I now know the answer about coverage
