WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Weatherman has changed his mind, looks like I may get the shot I've been planning for Months on Friday after all!

WCMUT - Sorted out my next business trip for the end of May. Denmark! Silkeborg and Copenhagen.

Much better than my office :)

WCMUT is that it's my wedding anniversary. 9 years of marriage and in June, it'll be 30 years as a couple.

Congratulations ! May you have many more years together :)

We hope so!

Lucky you with your trees have been writing, emailing and having meetings for 5 years and the 70 foot trees are still there, wish you hadn't posted this.

Don't give up, this has been on going for several years, ( probably close to 10)
This was just another round in the battle of the bark, that I had no chance of winning ( apparently)
They screwed up and realised that some of the trees were in fact dangerous, just not the ones at the end of my garden.

Had they looked in the correct place, a few years ago, it may have all been over a long time ago.

WCMUT? and for quite a few days past, early -mid morning sun in my garden for the first time in years!

Now the grass'll grow faster and need more cutting!

Oh, and WCMUT? A reasonable round, barely spoiling a good walk!

WCMUY went to see The Electric Light Orchestra for the 4th time. 2nd time for my wife and sons. Jeff certainly hasn't lost his magic, even though Jeff and Richard Tandy are the only ones left from the original or at least late 70's line up. I saw them for the 3rd time a couple of years back when they headlined Radio 2's Festival in a day. Jeff promised that he would tour if he got a good reception and he enjoyed himself. I think he was blown away by the reaction he got then and is still getting now, at each sell out venue.

Seeing my driving record since having the tracker fitted and it going live a couple of months ago.
score 98.6 % and no redsections.
Top score of the fleet :D
That should stop some of the comments (y)

Freshly laid eggs from my boss's hens.
Omlette tonight!! :)

Getting a few little jobs done between soft hail showers. Got the low fuel sender in the Enfield's fuel tank changed out, the front brake light switch out and a new one on order (internal spring's rusted out so will fill the new one with oil before fitting) and the internal sliding patio door handle's stripped thread sorted (longer screw to mate with the undamaged portion of the thread - old bit lasted 30 years or so so the [longer] bit I'm now into should last as long as the rest of the doors!)

Walking out the door to go to work and seeing a lovely Roe Deer walking up the lane opposite :)

Spotting our local MP (Ben Bradshaw) in an "I'M IN" t-shirt. Thought about asking him to pose beside the Exeter Pride stall on the other side of the road!

Being invited to go and photograph owls and hedgehogs in the bluebells tomorrow as part of a small group, ok so I have to pay a small
amount to cover costs, but it will be well worth it to get the close up pictures and I'm not working (y)

Brilliant. Don't forget to share some photos.

Indecent ones are more fun!

The Sonic booms shaking Yorkshire. Time to buzz the Tower Goose.

Popped down to my local Timpsons and printed off three 7x5 colour prints and mounted them, photo's of closest friends taken with D810/300 PF.

It put a big smile on my face.

Chocolate lager.

Sounds wrong, but is quite nice. I don't even normally like lager, so a pleasant surprise.

English watercress and strawberries (not together)
You can't beat the taste of homegrown stuff (y)

You can't beat the taste of homegrown stuff

Agree.

For me it the first early new potatoes with butter a bit of fresh mint and a glass of chilled white wine. Homegrown runner beans are also really good.

Domestic strawberries, and new potatoes are indeed scrumptious, and the strawbs will be even better in about 6 weeks out of a field that not been pollytunnelled. (or greenhoused).
Not had much "home grown", except what comes from a colleague's allotment, for a while!

Ok so I've lived here for 4 years and finally worked out why the grill in oven doesn't work properly, it was switched to half
power and I've has just found the switch :sulk:o_O

Sat in the back garden and a big swarm of bees flew overhead. First time I've seen anything like it. Amazing!
