Cheered me up? I almost PMSL today.
For about a year, I've been asking that the humongous trees out the back, between rear gardens and in a walk through, has some serious attention,
at about 60 feet high and 40 spread, they are no longer shielding the houses from each other as the lower branches point up wards and don't start till eaves height.
It also blocks sunlight from my garden, in all but June - early August, when the sun manages to climb above the trees.
It took them nearly 6 months to remove a broken bough, about 30 feet long and 30 feet up.
Backwards and forwards backwards and forwards emails to the CEO of the local council and my MP.
I got home today to find an email, that politely said ( paraphrasing ) were are not doing anything about the trees they have about another 50-60 years before reaching maturity.
Tough s***!
Although they did agree that a couple of other trees in the area, would need a little pruning for their ( the trees) own sake.
What made me PMSL? returning home from work, looking out the kitchen window, The left hand side has gone, I assume the right hand side will also go when the mulching truck has emptied and returned.
I shall enjoy returning the CEO's email later, however not until they have finished, just in case they got the wrong one
( or they have a dim view of bribing tree surgeons of course
)
Edit Before and after update
Talking to the tree surgeons, it seems that hybrid trees ( which these are)
when they get to that height / age they split and bits fall off!
I've been saying that for almost a year, seems the case for the prosecution rests
And the one to the left of frame is going too
