But you live in the sticks, I live in a town that has aspirations of being a cityit can easily be a 10 mile trip since the last one.
There are plenty of cities WITHOUT a cathedral.it's a proper city with a cathedral AND a university.![]()
At least they weren't on your head ...I did something similar yesterday.
I was in very large B&Q, took my reading glasses out of my pocket to inspect something more closely.
Took them off, gathered up my goods and went to check out.
Got back to the car and realised they weren't in my pocket! b****r!
Went back into the store, to the last place I had bought something "Maybe I'd put them on the shelf?"
But no, started looking around and suddenly noticed I'd tucked them inside my top, you know one arm inside.
What a donut![]()
That wouldn't help me, I couldn't see, mine are little more than magnifiers for reading / close up work.I've never put my specs on to look for my specs. Honest!!! :banghead:
Although that seems a common place to put them, actually I never have done that.At least they weren't on your head ...
Must be a small ghostie. Normally, they want a sheet.I think a ghostie took it.
I lost a pillow case when changing the beds and I still haven't found it.
It's not on the floor, it's not in the washer and it's not in the dryer and it wasn't inside the duvet cover.
Mrs WW lost a sock and found it inside the slot the filter fits in in the dryer so I assume she took the washing out with one hand and the filter with the other (we clean the filter every time we use the dyer) and it fell in... but the same couldn't happen with a pillow case as they're too big... but I checked anyway and it wasn't there.
I think a ghostie took it.
I find that’s commonly the problem with lost things — they often turn up in places I would never put themThat wouldn't help me, I couldn't see, mine are little more than magnifiers for reading / close up work.
Anything beyond that is blurry with them on.
Although that seems a common place to put them, actually I never have done that.
One of our cats was nicknamed "the Helper", as in "ask the helper where she's put it". Nothing small enough to be gripped by her jaws was safe!I find that’s commonly the problem with lost things — they often turn up in places I would never put them![]()

Of course. And you can use “Tiles” or “Airtags” for other things. When my wife loses her mobile in the house she phones it on the landline and quickly retrieves it![]()

What a dramatic, riveting and dynamic life you lead, Alan.![]()
I have....Although that seems a common place to put them, actually I never have done that.

Often notice that larger quantities are cheaper in supermarkets, then occasionally it's better to buy two small packs that work out better than the family" pack, it's to keep on you're toes and them to make more money when you make cost assumptions.Putting my Ocado order together and looking for peas
M&S Garden Peas Frozen 750g - £1.60
M&S Garden Peas Frozen 1.25kg - £1.35
And no, the 1.25kg bag isn't on offer.

Tiles ? Airtags ?Of course. And you can use “Tiles” or “Airtags” for other things.
I can imagine you sat smoking your pipe while the wife does the household chores John.

. Oh..forgot. She tells me what to wear and when it needs replacing and she sorts that ,too![]()

/Rant on
How can a company as big as DHL have an app that doesn't work properly!?!?
Email notice last Thursday evening of a package to be delivered on Friday with a link to their app, the app allows me to redirect to a pickup location which will be more convenient. Redirection accepted by the app with dropoff on Friday, a DHL bod turns up at my home with the package at 2pm. I was out of course.
Now the app says delivery to the pickup location by the end of Monday so obviously another DHL bod tried to deliver it to my home a 2pm on Saturday. I was out of course.
Email on Monday 8.15 stating my package will be delivered to the pickup location today, guess where I will be a 2pm this afternoon...
This package took 11 hours from dispatch in the Netherlands to arrival in Leeds and three days plus (if it arrives today) to make the last seven miles.
"Int technology brilliant!"

I never saw the point in washing things twice
Scraps get rinsed down the macerator and then washed in the sink
So you can now put dried on gravy stains and all sorts of gunk laden plates straight in the dishwasher?Didn't know they were washed twice. I'll mention it![]()
