WAMT....what annoyed me today!

The cost of frozen mice, full price £7:20 for 10 medium sized, that is almost double on the beginning of the year.
Thankfully I get a good "family" discount.

But even so!
(Awaits the smart arsed comments from the usual suspects :p )

How many do your friendssssss get through in a year?

The 2 adults 1 ea. every 4 or 5 days, ( I get the hard stare through the glass, when they are hungry, I kid you not)

The 2 hatchlings from this year, the same duration, every 4 or 5 days, but smaller, 1 large pinky or small "fluffy"
These are a bit cheaper full price £4.50 / 10.

I don't suppose breeding your own is a legal option?

As long as I feed them dead, yes it is, and something I'm considering, especially if I get more eggs next year.
But have you seen the price of pet mice these days?
At least a tenner each and that's assuming you can get the males. Most places only sell females as they "don't smell"

My stepfather used to keep snakes many years ago and he always bred his own mice - he fed them live in those days.

The mice reproduced much faster than he needed, so he sold some on to a mate, then another, then another. Before he knew it, he was on a nice little earner from mouse breeding as word got round. :)

(Sadly) that has been illegal for years, but was the easiest way to get hatchlings and imports to feed.

You only need 2!!! OK, maybe a couple of females to keep some sort of gene pool rather than puddle.

1 : 2 is the optimum number.
1 :3 tends to get lower productive (I guess they sit around chatting most of the day :D )

Cycles synch?

I bet it would if you actually WANTED some!!!

Not really a WAMT, more a WTF type thing.

I was mooching Amazon for a few bits a lot of the "Prime" delivery stuff is now 2 days,
If you are in a rush, that's a tad annoying.
Failing that the no prime option tends to be 3 days, if there is no panic ( I wasn't) Prime seems a bit pointless now.

I don't use the music or photo store options, and with NOW TV & Netflicks Prime video, is pretty much redundant too.

On the very rare occasions I NEED something tomorrow, I usually bite the bullet and get it from town rather than rely on Prime. I don't have Prime as a rule but use it so rarely that I almost always have the free trial option.

I sometimes wonder though, is it more cost effect to have prime than to drive in to town, or go up the city, and start searching

I don't have Prime as a rule but use it so rarely that I almost always have the free trial option.
That's not a bad plan TBH.

For me, since I have to go into town several times a week, it's 90p for 30 minutes of parking ("fuel" would be used anyway for the round trip) and if I NEED something, I usually know where to get it. NEEDs are also usually a NOW rather than tomorrow thing for me! I can always wait for wants!!!

I rarely have need to go to town or up the city center, so I prefer to ( mostly) let my fingers do the walking.
( Now there is a blast from the past :D )

Last night actually, arrived back at park n ride from airport to find herself’s car had a fist sized hole in the tailgate window, found no cause inside the car -half brick etc- just a bit of water in spare wheel well, it’s been suggested as it can be under flight path might have been a lump of ice falling, whatever £115 excess tomorrow after replacement.

Birthday trip to the Science Museum - took my camera - not expecting to photograph anything spectacular - turns out I would be photographing nothing at all as I'd left the battery (taken out while I ate breakfast to top it up in the charger) at home

I reckon nearly all of us have done the same - or at least very similar (memory card, film etc.).

Yes. I put the trail cameras out late yesterday afternnon but at about 11pm I went into the room with the PC to find the two memory cards lying on the desk - headtorch on, out in the pouring rain! Not well pleased, but it was nice to see the roe deer family that passed through about 3am when I looked at the cards this morning.

Only laughing in sympathy - it's better than crying!

Folks coming in the opposite direction, with headlights on at full beam in our village, which has streetlights! Bobby dazzlers they are not!:headbang:

WAMT?
Well yesterday actually.
Stripping the bedding for washing,
going to fall into bed around midnight, just to discover that I hadn't "made it up again"

Bloody donut!

WAMT well every time I see the advert for a particular brand of toilet air freshener that talks about odours settling on surfaces but the loo seat cover has clearly been left raised up!

Yes, even with it down some aerosols will be liberated but it is only common bl**dy sense to close it :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

what annoyed me today was our shed being broken into at the alotment , at least they didn’t damage the door , just unscrewed the hinges opposite the padlock
nothing was taken , didn’t leave anything worth taking in there
won’t bother to lock it in future at least they will just open the door and look inside
was more annoying that I’d planned to go out with the camera today as it’s a nice day never mind hopefully tomorrow the sun will be out

Cold, miserable, soggy, foggy, damp weather. Or was that yesterday? Or maybe tomorrow.............. or the day after that! British winters!

Virgin Media.

We've had problems with broadband being very very slow but VM insist there's no issue plus the password I've had for years mysteriously didn't work. I don't think we've been hacked as password issues seem to be a reoccurring theme and I eventually managed to change it after multiple attempts. Anyway. What a right royal PITA VM have been today.

Just started my shift in a local charity shop when someone I know comes in and starts going on about being kicked off the bus.
Asked her why and it was because she couldn't find her bus pass, something that happens frequently with her and we all have to wait while she doves in her bag to search for it.
Seems the bus driver this time wasn't so patient and told her to get off the bus which is within his rights, she was near her home so not being abandoned
Whenever I've been with someone in that situation they have always been given the opportunity to pay the fare which she got indignant about when I mentioned it, also pointed out to her that if he had let her on, the driver coming back might not have done then she would be stranded .
She walked out if a huff because wasn't on her side, she seemed oblivious to the fact that some people on b uses have appointments and would complain if the bus was late

Women, why not get the pass handy for the bus turning up, I do, same at the checkout, get your purse ready to pay while waiting your turn, not load the shopping then rummage for it at the last second!

Dealing with a mobile phone company and their on line form is to me incomprehensible and no matter what I enter I get

XML Parsing Failed: test:1:91 error: value '7438812246' does not match regular expression facet '\s*|[a-zA-Z0-9]{19,20}'

So, I phoned them and I do appreciate that staff in India or wherever may not be able to see the on line form I see but you'd think they'd know about it and be able to help answer questions about it but no, that would be too much to ask.

I just can not understand how people get addicted to these hateful devices.

I keep my bus pass in my phone case so it's always easy to find
She hadn't got to any shops, was on the way into town had just walk a short distance from her home
