a box of 10? 50p

It didn't annoy me, just baffled me TBH.

The good lady wife and I 'don't do Christmas' and hate mixing with the 'general public' so you can imagine going into Salisbury Saturday was a nightmare.
People buying festive things, wearing festive garments and bloody Christmas songs in nearly every shop we visited.
Thankfully no one has tried to bring religion into it thus far!
BAH HUMBUG!
I accidently let a BMW driver out of a side road this morning, it’s going to take me a while to get over this one. Moreover, he did not say thanks you!
One shops?
One doesn't. One gets one's man to do that for one. What are we? Poor?
We stay away when the shops get crowded too.

He should've bought an exercise tandemhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-50649826
Really - so what if it had been a woman giving the man a gift? Stupid!
Why should he, he had right of way anyway, or is that just in France?I accidently let a BMW driver out of a side road this morning, it’s going to take me a while to get over this one. Moreover, he did not say thanks you!
Just pull out, that'll stop them, they'll be expecting it anyway.I've test driven a few BMW's but never bought one. I do remember trying to turn left out of a side road once and no one letting me out. There were some lights a few yards to the left and I sat there through change after change. I had thought that someone would leave a gap as the lights changed to red, as you do so as not to block the junction, but oh no, people would just park across the junction looking straight ahead as if a glance at me would turn them to stone.
Having said all that MBW drivers deserve it
I am kidding![]()
To be fair, they can't win here.I must admit I never really keep an eye on the weekly shop that close, if we need it, we need it.
What does hack me off though is the increasing number of products that cost the same but the size/content has been reduced. One product hade the nerve to advertise on the front of the packet, 'now cooks quicker' IT WILL DO IF YOU TAKE OUT 25% OF THE CONTENT!
But the weight is still on the packaging and the price label on the shelf will also give the price per 100g, so it's not really being hidden.Maintaining the packaging size while reducing the contents is designed to mislead; the more honest approach if the product has become more expensive is to increase the price.
But its a bit like end user accounts, who reads the small print? But the weight is still on the packaging and the price label on the shelf will also give the price per 100g, so it's not really being hidden.
Funny, that's what your missus was sayingThink many would prefer a product that can still be seen with the naked eye
True, but many people will not remember the 'weight' & price of a previously purchased product, especially if it is something bought infrequently. A case in point is tubs of chocolates at Christmas, many of these have decreased by 20% or more in the last 5 years. But the weight is still on the packaging and the price label on the shelf will also give the price per 100g, so it's not really being hidden.
Wagon Wheels are a pale imitation of their former selves, Kit Kats and Penguins fare no better.
Everything is shrinking, are people really that concerned by a small price rise

Yep they are shrinking faster than a flasher's todger on a frosty morningA case in point is tubs of chocolates at Christmas, many of these have decreased by 20% or more in the last 5 years.
If no one remembers the price or weight, it doesn't really matter then. Good way of fighting obesity anyway.![]()
TBH its been so long since I bought any, I've no idea what the price was last time.
Depends on how many kit kats you buy in the first place. If you only bought one, there isn't a second one to eat.Doesn't work, just end up eating two of the two finger Kit Kats now where one used to suffice.
Even toilet rolls have decreased in size, packs of nine are definitely less bulky.
So much so that they have dispensed with the little handles to carry them with.

Not all toilet roll packets came with handles. Probably more a case of, if others can do without, may as save money on the tooling antime for making the handles and do away with them. They can go in a shopping bag anyway.
Well people who wanted more would have bought a 4 finger kit kat anyway, so unless they intended to share the other two fingers with someone else, they would have eaten all four anyway. They are smaller and whoever bought just one two finger Kit Kat?

Not that I have eaten sweets in 30yrs or more, but I couldn't imagine why anyone would want to eat more than 1 finger to be honest, not exactly exciting are they.
Fairly sure the taste won't have changed since I last ate one to know they are still boring. So not exactly your specialist subject then?
Well if it said 1kg on the bag and it was 950g, that's product misrepresentation which would fall under false advertising. But its a bit like end user accounts, who reads the small print?
I bought a kilo of sugar earlier, I never checked to see if it was only 950g

The chunky ones are so much better. They are smaller and whoever bought just one two finger Kit Kat?
That was the point I was making it *looked & felt* like a Kg, but I never checked the small print to confirm that it was.Well if it said 1kg on the bag and it was 950g, that's product misrepresentation which would fall under false advertising.
That'll be cars, particularly Ford, and lifting chairs is easier if you are a womanSo not exactly your specialist subject then?
