WAMT....what annoyed me today!

Sweeping and raking a woodland floor?
.. no idea how they're expecting stag beetles if that's their approach to over-managing the environment. And it makes folk think it's useful/desirable.
They're clearing up the the tons of absolute s***e that inconsiderate lazy bs'tard "visitors" think its OK to toss onto the floor and leave behind.

Being woken up by cramp at 05:30 this morning. Can still feel the ache.

Old chestnut this one, why do people go to the trouble of taking out a bag for putting their dog's mess in then once used hang it from a bush or tree.

Who do you think is going to clear it up, the dog s*** fairy?

Just despair at times, so many people are just dirty lazy ignorant selfish bastards.
If you are doing a circular walk you can pick it up on way back.

Sorry to hear that :(
A mates wife has recently been diagnosed with incurable cancer and treatment is basically to make her comfortable.
They found out just before they were about to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary, such a lovely lady

It feels wrong to like the post, but you know what I mean. It is horrible, luckily it went relatively quick for my father in law.

cancer is so indiscriminate my condolences to you all :(

Cancer is what annoyed me today, yesterday and tomorrow, watching it eat away at my mum is heartbreaking.

So sorry to hear. It was a first for me. Nobody my side of the family had it. Unfortunately my wife's family is not that lucky :(

Train delayed 20 mins this morning. Australians on the track!

Probably the "wrong type" of Australians too. Every year at this time we get thousands of Australians arrive for the Oktoberfest. They drink huge quantities of Munich beer, and stagger home. Get lost. And some end up wandering along the train tracks and get hit by trains.

Got the offer from British Gas for a free 8x12 photo canvas, last quarter offer was a tenner off at Dunelm if 30 quid was spent so bought some towels, anyway I digress.

Ordered the canvas online with a photo that was of good colour, quality and size also took into account the wrap around.

It arrived today and it is one of the tackiest and cheap pieces of s*** I have ever had the misfortune to receive, even for free its crap. Cheap frame, badly wrapped/tensioned and nasty ribbed material, just looks rubbish.

The annoying bit is the £1.49 I spent on the optional hanging kit, it has given us all a laugh though. Can't imagine how gutted I would have been if the full price of 15 quid plus postage had been paid.

That is what you deserve when you order photo canvases from the Gas Man ;) Did you honestly belief they are passionate about great quality prints, frames etc...Its is purely about the money when a gas fitter cross sells you photo frames.

It was just the offer from British Gas, the canvas was ordered from a specialist company who sells them amongst other photographic prints and associated items.

No money apart from £1.49 or fitter involved, bit of "Sun" type creative writing there. Didn't have to believe anything, no hard sell of canvasses involved, just a freebie that was pure tat

Maybe a better offer next time, thirty percent off some towels was OK, we shall see

Just about everything.

Birthdays are a headache,:banghead: haven't got a big family but my brother and sister have children and grand-children. Thought 28th Sep reminded me of something but didn't think much about it, until my brother phoned you've forgotton one of the childrens birthday again. Card will be on its way to-day but where does the line end, between them all, there are 13 in total, I can't afford to buy each and everyone of them a present.:banghead: I think I ended the phone conversation with he had actaully forgot mine.

Do the same as me, I haven't sent a card to anyone for over twenty five years and life is now easy (on the card front anyway) as nobody expects one or gets upset anymore. OK the first year or two I had a bit of flack but not any more. That includes birthdays, Christmas, weddings, deaths or any of the other of the stupid things the card companies keep trying to push on us.

Stansted Airport, used to be a nice place but now appears to be just one huge shop that you have to snake your way through to get to the crammed in departure lounge.

Something in the jokes & memes thread causing my browser to lock up indefinitely.

Polishing the car to-night, there is green paint on my wing, my car is tango colour. Some sod hit my car and cleared off. No dent but very annoying.

If it's their paint on yours it will T-Cut off.

Before resorting to T-Cut (which is abrasive), just try a decent car polish.

:agree: you can easily damage the paintwork if you are too harsh, polish has worked for me

Same here until I got married and my wife started doing it on my behalf. Sigh. Years of training going down the pan in one moment. I find it the most ridiculous and eco unfriendly tradition there is. And it seems huge business in the U.K.

Likewise if you can not afford to get them all presents @Shirleyr then just don't. We all have our priorities and just because your sister decides to have a large extended family that doesn't mean you have to treat them all. Just get something for your favourites and ignore the rest :) remember it is a discretion not an obligation.

T-Cut is very mild as cutting compounds go, you have to be pretty heavy handed to damage paintwork, unless the paintwork is soft or fresh in the first place.

Plenty of less astringent polishes available before restorationt to T-Cut.

Any milder and you have more of a chance of polishing the alien paint, rather than removing it. It's what T-Cut is made for not just restoring faded paint, it will take a fine layer of paint off, it won't damage it.

Yawn.

its a beautiful sunny day here at Morfa Nefyn, golfers playing golf, walkers and familes out. Nefyn golf club have a private road that leads through to a bay and most important to the Porth Dinllaen lifeboat house. Most Sundays the crew go out for a practise, so the golf club open the gates for the crew. There is a huge sign that reads Private road etc. It was about 11am and all was peaceful walking along, when suddenly all hell broke loose about 20 motor bikes shot at speed through everyone hooting the horns and reveving the engines. A gentleman golfer tried to wave to slow them down but they shot past him. All the other people had parked where they such to enjoy the day walking, pure disrepect. If the gate should be closed on their return, well its happened before and the sad persons will have to wait for one person who has the right to go through it.

Chances are that one of the members will have links with local plod. Be a shame if the motorbikes all got tickets - and good if they were supervised leaving via the gate rather than taking a short cut over the 11th tee/fairway. Simply closing the gate is almost inviting donuts on the greens and other antisocial behaviours.

Motorways. Driving to London at the weekend. Took it steady, 60mph inside lane. Went over a lane-wide "dip" or something akin to a pothole. Now sounds like a wheel bearing has gone. Had something similar happen last year and I suffered a tyre puncture.

No doubt had I been doing 90+mph in the outside lane on either occasion, I wouldn't have had any problems.
