They have never driven and always relied on lifts. Worst example is, they have a static caravan about 60 miles away and no way of getting there unless they get a lift. Yet they want to get to it as often as possible in the summer.
You are right, they are controlling of my wife and it often causes rows between them when she can't do what they want. The mother in law's mother died a month or so back and they are having to clear her house out ready for sale. I've done a few runs when not working, my sister in law has done one or two a week and my son keeps getting called upon at weekend when he isn't working and then gets grief if he dares plan something for himself to do. To say the lift favours are wearing a tad thin is somewhat an understatement.
If they have no way of getting there then it also means they have no method of getting back either... Drop them off at the caravan now and leave them there until September
