WAMT....what annoyed me today!

Finally got it l###d!!! ;)

Oh ffs not again ;)

Still don't know what you mean, a # means a digit not a character :p

Drivers that refuse to accept the broken line on the entry slip road is a GIVE WAY sign FFS!
And again, !
He thought he was coming out, I had no where to go, he "attempted" to broad side me to let him out,
basic physics, a small van is no match for a full sized 4x4. You can wait pillock !
and you can thank me with your middle finger, it matters not ;)

Indeed he should come to a full stop. I don't understand why people don't get that.

I think we made a rod for our own back a few years ago, when people started to move over, where possible,
now the joining crew just think its a right to push their way out, the slip road the lanes are called acceleration and deceleration lanes for a reason, you match your speed to the conditions when joining,
(or leaving)
not go hell for leather down the slip road and then look and think Oh f***! there's a car there, never mind I'll just keep going anyway.

I don't understand why people don't get that.
pretty much as above plus, stupidity, arrogance, their time is more precious than everyone else's, I'm coming out anyway because I'm an arse ..
The list goes on ;)

No he shouldnt, thats only at stop signs, not give way, thats why its called 'give way'. Get with the program. Of course if cars are coming along at a give way then he will have to stop. But if they arent, he doesnt have to. At a 'stop', he does.

Ah sod it, do I really care.

You see I blame, no not her ;), all those polite people. Whilst I get the best intentions, they are flaunting the rules and have created this problem. The rule are there for a reason, when they are followed everything will be smooth.

Well duh Mr pedantic, we were discussing the scenario where there was no way. In such a scenario you will have to come to a full stop. Nobody said that you do that if you can merge in normally. Get with it :p

WAMT was people standing in doorways.:mad::mad:
Whilst I agree an annoyance, it is also an opportunity....Nice body check to move them out of the way :)

If the line is double dashed then that is a give way and you must come to stop before then proceeding if safe to do so

A single dashed line means you do not have to stop first and proceed if safe to do so.

Coffee anyone?

Stop line is solid, with the word stop on the road and probably a red hexagonal sign.
Give way is double broken lines.

But the single broken line is very much a proceed with caution as per roundabout entrances

Oh I know that one, some people think I'm a right w****r :p

And here is another

Don't get that.
Its a slide hammer and you move it back and forth to work it ;)
Grip the centre part and move it up and down the shaft
(with some force) ;)

Don't get that.
The handle moves up and down the shaft, much like the motion of w*****g. When I was a toolmaker we used a similar tool for removing metal dowels and it was always known as a w****r. Now in my current job we use smaller versions to remove injectors etc. from engines, but they're posh, they call them slide hammers. They cracked up when I told them what we called them.

Way to complex for me. I'm quite simple really.

I own an invisible car.

It's Subaru blue (purple), an estate with lights and everything yet it is invisible to other drivers.

I've had a woman in a rover pull into lane two while the front wing was almost in line with her back bumper at about 1 mph more than the truck she wanted to pass, a nice old chap in a 4x4 decide to pull onto the motorway while I was along side him and a poor chap in a golf was along side me and a gas van complete with trailer pull out of a junction causing me to come to a complete stop.

On the bright side my brakes are very good and my horn works

My car is bright red and has DRL's, yet seems more invisible than any car I owned before. Even my previous car which was black and no DRL's seemed much more visible than this one.

Brings back memories ... of the show Hair - Nottingham 70's IIRC
I saw it late sixties TBH I cant remember where but pretty sure it was one of the London theatres though.
Good weren't it? :D

Costumes were a bit imperial though.
