Bloke I used to work with used to go out shooting pigeons. His cars were always covered in bird crap. Revenge from those he missed I reckon. We used to have pest control come into the factory from time to time to scare off the pigeons with a Harris Hawk, the hawk took a crap on him too. At as if all the birds knew. :)
 
Getting my latest gas/lecky bill through based on estimates and it had gone up £13 a month to £113, what a surprise.
Provided them with actual readings which were very slightly less than what they guessed.
A new bill arrives with revised payment now of £117 a month. wtf?!?!
I think theyve got a macro or something that whenever a reading is entered it just ups the bill anyway.
Chr1st I absolutely hate the bar stewards.:mad:
Every 6 months having to ring up and whinge at the tw@ts.

Mine went up recently even though I was still £120 in credit.

Anonymous call reject sorts them out. Blocks all witheld numbers :) It is an additional cost option with most providers but I think it ought to be free and publicised.
 
cyclists. Crossing over the road where that woman was killed yesterday at Bank. green man flashing and beeping away, started to cross and cyclist plum flew through there like she was on Le Tour. Bloody idiots the lot of them! No sympathy whatsoever.
 
Though it's a pain in the bum to have to do it.......
For those of you having GaLeccy issues, if you're in credit, you have the right to repayment of the credit within 30 days; and if your payment is increased despite your consumption falling or remaining the same, you can insist your payment is reduced back to the previous amount.
The phone jockies might not like it, but these are the rules.
 
Trouble is according to them Im £46 in debit. Oh wow! Such a lot! and its now summer where I presumably will be using lot less and come october the debit will be gone. But no, up the payments have to go.

My contracts up end of July so they can sling they're hook then. Trouble is I hate British gas, southern electric, EON, npower and now sainsburys as well. Are there any left? Ovo or utility warehouse maybe.

Don't talk to me about gas and leccy folk . My company's billing is horrendous :( Its supposed to be 6 monthly and available online - but they didn't tell me that when I signed up. I was unable to see any bills from Nov 2014. In April I made them do a manual calculation and they told me how much I was in credit - fine said they we'll refund and they did and £100 more than they said. Now I've finally got a bill dated back to Nov - guess how much I'm in arrears ? ALMOST £500 !!!! The stupid folk forgot they had had to refund me in September . They admit that the DD was too high so now they want to increase my DD . I'm fighting

Oh and if you want I'll PM you the name of my Company - till my fight is over I'm not naming - then once it's all sorted out I'll name and shame. It's not on your list though

Check that the "debit" is cleared by the end of the contract though....save them getting shirty (and avoid any potential issues with a new supplier)

Ovo. We've been with them for 2-3 years. Good prices, don't try to confuse you with the tariffs, excellent customer service.
 
Amazon again. Item ordered beginning of last week that was in stock and the lazy good for nothings still haven't even dispatched it! Cancelled the order. Found it elsewhere and then that website wouldn't let me check out. Bloody Boots! Might have to actually go into an actual store to get my Maxtra cartridges this time...

What has happened to Amazon?? They've whacked up the minimum order to £20 for free delivery and the service is now absolutely shoddy. Previously all free delivery items would arrive within 5 working days without fail. Now they aren't even arsed to send them within that time.

I paid for delivery last time and they sat on it for ages before they even sent it so it was no faster than it used to be with supersaver.

I'm on target to break even by the autumn, apparently, ( their figures)
and yet they still want to increase my monthly payments by 10% ...... I don't think so !

Wamt: lovely curry at lunch time. Firstly I couldn't have a beer with it, and secondly I now feel like taking a nap.

It's lovely but not good for productivity.

We had it early yesterday evening, it's a beautiful morning. Sue went out early to ride her horse but unfortunately, as she had let the cats out and the patio door open, I was rudely awakened by the tom cat yowling and a blackbird screeching in the lounge!
 
A peep at the weather radar suggests that the rain/cloud is dissipating before it reaches here :-)

Cloudless blue sky at the moment and the garden thermometer (currently in full sun) reads 32°C :-)
 
Cold, heavy cloud and raining. My kids called from Joburg yesterday. It's warmer there, in the middle of winter...

Making new casting moulds only to find they're full of air pockets and totally useless despite the same de gassing procedures I've always used. Oh well.

Is the Isuzu becoming the new Chelsea Tractor, seems to be more idiots driving them these days.
Today I was approaching a bridge that I go over daily, no problem going over it passing a transit or similar
coming the other way, only thing that clogs it are lorries, only takes one at a time.
Isuzu approaching the other way flashing lights, blasting on the horn, FFS there is loads of room for
him and my SEAT to pass, we weren't even close to hitting each other !!!!

My train home just arrived, from the outside it looks like one of the newer ones that have air conditioning. But no, it is flipping boiling and no windows that open. Grrrr

In case anyone cared or was concerned about my wellbeing, or even rejoiced it. I moved a carriage and are now in the bliss of air conditioning :)
