My stupid flipping car.....damn thing I've only just put it back on the road after taking a long time to heal post crashing the other one, and I've only driven the car twice however to make sure it's not gone flat I've been out every day and run it for 10 minutes....well today I go out and get the annoying thud of a engine with not enough power in the battery to turn it over FFS :bang: :bang: :bang:
 
WAMT Things that don't last.
My PiR light has been doing its own thing for a couple or so weeks,
sending out random morse code messages at all times of the night,
even with the sensor taped over with duck tape!

While replacing that, the switch-able outside courtesy light
disintegrated when I touched it.
Both are about 25 years old.

Don't you just hate stuff that doesn't last ?

yep 10 minutes is nowhere near long enough to recharge a heavy diesel for the ammount of juice taken to start it - so dailly starting may have done more harm than good. Also if its been standing for a year the battery is probably borked anyway
 
I'd drive it arround for a bit - it doesnt charge very fast on idle (also get them to check the alternator isnt buggered)

Fair enough...I'll be more inclined to drive it more as things get a little easier behind the wheel ;)
 
I was sorry to see Dozy died today! :(

Dave Dee died in 2009. I bet Beaky's a bit anxious but Mick and particularly Tich feel fine! :whistle:

Numpty - that said you can get jump packs that plug straight into the mains and don't need to be charged first
