Hello, I have been on Virgin Media for many years, but have decided to move to another provider. My contract runs out tomorrow, so I got in touch with them to tell them I would not be renewing the contract, and was told that I had to give 30 days notice! I said my contract is ending to tomorrow, and they said that the contract changes to a rolling 30 day contract, but I said, my contract is ending, I haven't agreed to another contract. They said that was part of the original contract.
I have asked them to send me a copy of it, but they said it could take 24 hours. Is what they are doing right?
And I said why does it take 30 days to disconnect, when you can connect in a couple of days. I disconnect the modem, and you switch it of in the exchange, why does it take 30 days! It just takes 30 days was the reply.
This was after 20 mins on the phone and not getting through, 2 hours and 20mins on their Chat, and not getting a real person. Then another 20 mins on the phone till I got through to someone. With this person I said I don't want to continue after my contract ends, to which he says could he off me a deal, which I said no to, and he goes and offers me a deal anyway.
He then puts me though to their disconnection team, which was another 10 min wait. And again, they said can we offer you a deal, I said you can't match the deal I am going to be getting, "we can do it for £40!" I said I am going to get getting it for £24. And that's when the 30 day disconnection came up.

I must say, this is the first time I have had trouble getting through to them on the phone after more than a few minutes. They have gone downhill. Glad I will not have to deal with them again.
A very frustrating evening and I had to get it off my chest.
