Thank you Iain and yes i agree a little more contrast was needed, i'd played around with it quite abit but just wasn't really happy!

Nice shot and concept with the love hearts Trace. Only thing I'd say hun is the pic may suit a bit more colour/contrast for my liking. Was spooky though how the last sweet came out like that.

Thanks hun yes it could have done so with this one... i kept messing with contrast but just wasn't happy!...
 
Well...... shall we ramble today or shall we post and zip it again...................????

No such luck shall i let you all have 2 nights free of my thoughts and nonsense!!

Today as been an interesting day..... sort of..... maybe more the wonderings of a teenage mind!.... at least one teenager that is as scatty as her mum i guess..... This is my girl Poppy in the photo... she asked me to take her to town so she could buy Valentine cards and chocolates... and in the car she was telling me who was buying for who... who was getting just a card and who was getting a present too!.... oh and who she and her friend was making cards for.........(oh to be popular lol)!!!.....i proceeded to say yet again Valentines day will be just another day for me... In which she replied.... well mum you do have options.....

Apparently i could.................. kidnap a guy?! eek!
kill all couples!.....................Double eek!
Spend the day googling cats... cos they're cute!.......... gheeez!!

PS.....I CHANGED THE SUBJECT!!

Anyway my photo............ bit of a throw away shot but i didn't have/know what else i wanted today.... i had been hoping to get some street work but with a hyper 5yr old where you need eyes and arms everywhere it just wasn't going to happen......... so once back home i settled on my little rats new pencils.... getting my girl to hold them for me....... still not working as she kept dropping them!!...... .. so whilst she wasn't looking and was messing about at the window...........I GOT HER!!

Pps totally irrelevant to the shot but a word of advice............ if you buy ready pancake stuff and need to shake to mix..........PLEASE.............. remember to make sure lid is on tight!....

I didn't!!...........:-(( lol

Thank you... Yes it was on the laptop when she came in the front room but she liked it.. thankfully!... she isn't one for having her photo taken..

Fantastic shot hun, a real cracker.

Lol, with me being Mr Humbug I laugh when I see fellas wasting hard earned cash on cards, chocs, flowers for valentines day, just another commercialised day of nonsense, makes me count my blessings for being single..lol.
 
Sounds like you have a great relationship with your daughter and what a beautiful photo of her :) The tones are gorgeous!

Oh yes being single does have its advantages.... although i wouldn't say no to anyone buying me flowers and chocolates lol!

Thanks Phil... mainly Lightroom work... i tend to just mess with the sliders to get everything relatively pale and decrease clarity as the focus wasn't all that great if i'm honest... it gave it the softer hazier look.... tones is messing with colour in shadows and highlights.. to give it a slight sunkissed look.... then in photoshop my fav layer is just hue and saturation ... up the sat slightly and use the lighting slider to give my an almost pale soft layer over everything!

Ps my explanations are crap!.. lol ... i tend to mess about so much changing then going back and starting again i forget what i have and havent done

You can do one in the print option of lightroom or download a template

Oh my T you've done well sine I last called in :thumbs: I love the rainbow drop things, I shot a wedding a couple of years ago and they had a massive glass bowl littlerally full of those on the bar :D

Hi Trace :wave:
I use photoshop for triptychs etc,
I open a new canvas in a size large enough to take your three images.
I then open the images and use the move tool to drag them across onto the new canvas and position them accordingly. HTH Iain

hmmmm well considering how useless i am at getting to grips with anything new in photoshop :bonk: it sounds straightforward so i shall give it ago!

My photoshop skills aren't all that Trace, and it works for me. It is quite straightforward, it'll be easy for you. :)
 
I do all my editing in PS.. it's pretty easy once you learn your way around it :D
 
So today............. After sneaking a shot of my girl yesterday and her rather liking it... i casually asked her if i could do another of her today.... expecting an out right NO!... surprisingly she must of been in a good mood tho because she agreed....... this was under the guidlines of her on her phone and me having to keep saying pops look up, pops look up!! lol

I managed to get a few i rather liked of her and she must like them because she wants me to tag her in facebook........ i'm honoured!!

The only stipulation was she chose which i was to use....... and this is it.........

The others will be on facebook and flickr....

I have lightroom. It's what I used to use to do the basic processing then would jump over to Photoshop to do the more "creative" part. Then lightroom started crashing every time I opened it and I was forced to make close friends with PS :(
