Daily T's 365 challenge..... Life begins at 40......

I'm really liking these picture of Poppy. Yesterdays was good but todays is terrific! I love the processing you have done, it works really well - care to share the technique? ;)

Todays works really well Trace , wonderful eye contact !!

Thank you! she has amazing big eyes i just wish she would let me shoot her more! lol

Another great one, T - I think she wanted to have another which is why she wore that nice top and ear-rings which match the colour of her eyes!

Haha yes you could be right.... more pics for her fb collection to show off lol

I have lightroom. It's what I used to use to do the basic processing then would jump over to Photoshop to do the more "creative" part. Then lightroom started crashing every time I opened it and I was forced to make close friends with PS :(

Beautiful photo of a beautiful girl today!!

Thanks Toni... that soundslike me now.. i use LR firsst then take it over to PS!

That is very nice T. Both you and her should be very pleased with that.

Thanks Phil yes she rather likes this one, probably because its not a cutesy shot lol

Thanks you!! of course..... its mainly done in lightroom and basically the colours are from using the split toning section.. so this one here is hightlights yellow and shadows blue... and vignette... the rest is just messing with blacks/whites contrast etc.... and i used extra clarity and highlights on her hair..... then over to ps to give it a lightness layer in hue/saturation....:D
Great processing again Trace! :)

Lovely shot and I love the processing. :D

Thank you Lynn!

another stunner of her

Well seeing as all i've seen today is Valentine stuff... my day was a omg i have noooooooooooo idea!... to be honest i really wanted to do more portraits as i enjoyed the ones i took of pops, ( she has said i can do some more) yippee!!.............but didn't want to so a selfie so last resort my stand by flowers..

As for the shot.... well i kinda like the odd crop of flowers not showing it all, maybe it's individual thing i don't know... but i'm sure i shall find out soon enough!............ or maybe its just because i didn't want to do a typical head on shot and i ermmmm don't actually have a vase....( am i the only girl that doesn't)!! ... lol

Anyway a short ramble tonight i have onion rings (you really needed to know that didn't you) and aero cookie bar waiting for me and i'm going to chill with a film..........

Also rat is off to his dads for the weekend.. i love him to bits but..... ooh yay peace!! lol X

Day 45/356....No idea day! by Cg_girl....so behind but trying to catch up, on Flickr

Very nice, although there is a dot in one of the bottom petals that i would've cloned out.
Like the processing, but not too sure if the centre of the flower is not a touch too dark - dunno need to come back to it :)

**** I was meant too!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
It might be to dark tbh..... For a simple flower I just wasn't happy!.... Don't know if it was just because I didn't have a clue today

I don't dislike it, but there's something I just can't put my finger on. However - for a filler  :D

T a wonderful portrait of your daughter....just stunning, and again you've nailed the processing too.

Love the composition of today's shot too, it really works, even if it does have a slight theme of valentines :bang::bang::bang::bang::bang: :D

Lovely portrait of your daughter Trace, just had a look at the full set on FB they are all lovely. I am sure you must be very pleased with them and your daughter too.
Todays submission works well too, technically very good, sharp, well lit and I like the composition too. Iain

I really like that flower shot. I like it's not completely mono, like the crop, like the contrast  If I had to nit pick, I would say the vignette showing in the top left corner isn't really necessary, but it's a nice clean image.. apart from that spot ;)

I like it but I think I'd like to see all, or less, of the centre part - preferable less iykwim? A slightly tighter crop to bottom and rhs..

I really love that composition with flowers like that. You done good!

Just had a look through since my last visit, a super set of pics, your sp was great, nice lighting and composition. I really liked the rainbow drops too, some lovely coloured bokeh in the bg. The flower from yesterday, really like it. It would look great on a wall. Well done!

Liking all the tones in your photo and how the flower is emerging from the corner like a rising sun.

It's made me puzzle too: the petals look so real but the centre, with those pretty highlights in the dark, looks shiny and almost like one of those circular sweets that you get in a pack of liquorice allsorts. Hmm, licorice allsorts....

Can see what Sarah means. Maybe go for an even tighter crop, with just a 1/4 of the flower showing, still with some negative space on the left. Again, clone out that mark on the petal & remove the line in the background at the bottom.

Lmao technically i guess because it's a flower yes.... but i have to buy them myself so NO!.... GRUMPY PANTS!

Thank you Iain yes i rather liked them but more so because she did too which means i can take more lol!

simply beautiful shot..... but moreso... i want onion rings now... ;)

They were yummy.... something tells me you might be having some today now too lol

That spot is seriously annoying me! actually more at myself because i did see it and then forgot about it!.... as for the vignette i have no idea why its there as i never used one... i'm guessing shadow i didn't notice..

Yes i get you, i have done a couple of these styled crops before but for some reason with this shot i just couldn't settle one what felt right

I really love that composition with flowers like that. You done good!

Thanks Hun!

Awww thanks Michael!

Hehehe yes a licorice allsort! i think thats why i kept it darker lol!

Yep totally agree with that!...

Trace a very nice teasing flower shot , I think it works well alround !!Very Nice

Thank you Vince!

Really like the flower shot! I would remove the dot on the petal though!

That damn spot lol!! thanks Jake!

I think I'd prefer it in colour if the background was one colour... the flower's gorgeous but the background gradient's a bit distracting for me; it's not as obvious in mono.

Loving that photo of your girl  it's wonderful, the only slight niggle is the single hair going over her eye, but then intensity of the look an here eyes in general just make that photo for me  and then the flower that works really well, I think however I prefer the B&W version

Hmmmm well i should have got off my ass earlier this morning and gone out whilst the skies were blue, but housework called and now i'm wishing i had ignored it!... by the time i got out the clouds were coming in and the sky was turning that typical english miserable grey!

So there's me driving aimlessly with not much petrol thinking i hope i find a petrol station and i knew i should have gone and got some first BEFORE thinking of POTD!.... BUT this is me we are talking about..........

Anyway i came across this friendly chap who was over the other side of the field with his buddies eating. but he see me and came to be nosy....( i don't blame him i like being nosy too)..... he seemed quite interested at the camera and strange but i was talking to him and it was rather cute he kept cocking his head to the side.................. maybe he thought gheez you do go on don't you... and not even any decent food to make it worth listening too!! lol

Day 46/356......Excuse me.. have you any sugar lumps? by Cg_girl....Rambling Queen x, on Flickr

I too prefer the colour version of yesterdays photograph Trace, it has a sunkissed look to it which I like a lot :D

Another great portrait for today, he looks a friendly fella, you've captured some character in your photo
You've just clipped his ear a little but its no biggy, his face fills the frame which is more important/interesting. Iain

ooooh, I do like his moustache :D

His tache made me giggle lol!

Thanks Iain... yes i did clip his ear and it bugs me but it was the best shot of him so had to use it... you know what it's like when you are constantly aware of a niggle tho! lol

 .... he does look friendly

He was a cutie!

Lol nice tache on the horse...I take it that shot taken before Findus found him

Hahaha that made me laugh!!

I think I prefer the flower in colour :) The horse is very cute - and he's still got his eyes open, so you can't have gone on that much!

Love the Rainbow drops shot, I’ve been thinking I need to try and do some practice with bokeh, beautiful shot. Really like the cheeky horse shot, it does indeed look like he has a moustache. The mono flower is my favourite of the two versions, but I would love to see it without that pesky spot on the petal :)

Love the flower shot - both of them but the colour pulls it for me :) and the horse is brilliant  love him

Nice horse sshot from yesterday T, your rambling makes me smile;)
