Obama was full of promises, delivered very little. His anti-British sentiments irked me (especially during the Gulf Deepwater Horizon incident in 2010) and nothing make me think that the special relationship can continue whoever is the next occupant of the White House (which has still got the bullet holes from the 1812-1814 war IIRC).

Trump is hot air, but the Americans will buy into it as they bought into Obama 8 years ago. Frankly, anyone who wants to get into politics need their heads examined.

NHS is not free. We pay a lot of taxes (including major part of NI) that funds NHS. GP level services are very poor from my experience, and some hospitals were labelled by the mainstream media as dangerous. Just imagine, they won't give you a blood test because you don't look desperately sick. Prevention of disease is clearly not in the guidebooks.

Furthermore, most conservative parties in europe are already pretty leftwing compared to their roots. It is like 2 legs of the same sick body walking at a different pace.

It is free at the point of use though, which has always been the point of the NHS. Of course, it's also underfunded and too much of it's money goes into management and not nurses / doctors. But then, it's much easier to privatise something if you under-fund it to the point that it doesn't perform as it should.

Wouldn't disease prevention reduce the cost of treatment down the line? Cancer is particularly expensive, so if detected very would cost just a fraction let alone the benefits for the patients

Abortion is bringing about the end of a pregnancy so that it does not result in the birth of a child.
The time limit for abortion in the UK is 24 weeks.
It should be much much lower for all but the most exeptional circumstances.
It should never be banned.

Not necessarily. Taxation on tobacco products raises about £13 billion per year, but dealing with smoking related illnesses only costs the NHS about £2 billion per year. Smokers subsidise the NHS for the rest of us.
