By the sound of it reading this thread anyone under 6 foot on these forums is a midget..
Yeah yeah rub it in I'm a measly 165cm / 5'5" and tip the scales at 85 kg / 187.4 lbs / 13 stone 5 lbs so not what you'd call tall or thin
My wieght loss program started in november when I was 100kg or so.
I don't really believe in strict dieting for me its all about "portion control" you fancy some chocolate have some chocolate but have one bit not the whole damn bar :nono: it hard but thats life. Alot of the old sayings are true don't go shopping hungry, try to eat a big breakfast and a small dinner etc.
Exercise wise to loose the flab cardio vascular is the way to go so running/walking, swimming, walking up and down the stairs pretty much anything that gets you outa breath. However if you a gym member don't neglect using the weight machines as your metabolic rate is affected by your "lean muscle mass" the more you have the more calories you'll use up each day.
My current "program" consists of a 3 mile jog a random selection of the wieght machines and 10 mins of
trying to use a skipping rope ( not a word about it being girly or I'll send the two boxers who gave me the rope round :boxer: )
ok I've been typing this for way too long so I'll finish with a couple of tips
1) drink loads of water as if you don't drink much your body thinks theres a drought so slows everything down to conserve it and stores it just in case.
2) If you want to start running I'd check out the couch to 5k program over at
