Hi Everyone,
My son William has been followed, along with the rest of our family, for the past 9 years by a Channel 4 documentary called Born to be Different. The documentary is following the lives of 6 children with disabilities and their families charting the dreams, desires, joys, and trials of childhood with a disability.
William has a genetic disorder called Tuberous Sclerosis. The condition means that he has multilple tumours in his brain, kidneys eyes and skin. He suffers from severe intractible epilepsy, ADHD, Autisum, and is developmentaly delayed.
The fourth series of the documentary, covering the past 2 years, is due to be screened on Tues 28th April and Tues 5th May at 9pm on Channel 4. It is not always easy viewing but over the years has followed him through the highs of his first football match through to the lows of 9 hours of neurosurgery.
Life with William is never dull and boring. He was my inspiration to get into photography as I could never get a decent photo of him with a compact camera and ended up spending a fortune on a DSLR :bang::bang:. He is also the reason for me being a sporadic poster on here.
William also has a website that is www.william-tsc.co.uk
The flyer shown below also contains my first ever published picture of William. A larger version is available on my Flickr site.
