Tomorrow is too much to handle - theme day and Referendum ..... on balance, the latter will be less stressful !!!
 
Well we are half way through the year guys and gals
well done to all those that are still here :thumbs:

This weeks theme seems rather easy to me, I must try harder, to keep you on your toes I think.

Oh and the first one to post a picture of a butter substitute, gets to do a fore fit :p

Its optional, if you have posted a previous image, that you think you can do better at, then you re-shoot it.
Its not compulsory, and it happens 4 times a year, if one is not drawn out of the bag, then its roughly every quarter.
 
Well, after around 240 weeks of posting for my TP52, and after arriving back in the UK from Iceland this might be the first week I post a late submission. I have my Sign on my Mac but a flat battery and won't go down well if I arrive home and start editing :bat:

Anyway, Iceland was stunning and I'll post a few photographs over the weekend.

Well it sounds like you've had a far more fun and productive time than me, Andy :)

I've spent part of today faffing around with trying to set up a website. Talk about one step forward and three back! I think I've found the reason that everybody sensible uses Flickr...

So my "project" is still a massive way away from what I want but it's slightly better than the empty landing page I had until recently:

Afternoon all - I too must say Iceland was superb !!!

I have been doing other stuff since back yesterday (Sleeping, Gardening, catching up on other stuff, shopping, Un-packing and Packing again (another story)) anyway... photography today, I have just caught up with a few comments and now going to edit my 'Sign' and 'Re-Shoot' shots from Iceland...

Hopefully I will have time to take a quick snap for 'Flora' as I want to keep up roughly as I am away in Portugal from Thursday to Sunday on Business and will not have time for photography while there, so next weeks them will be late for sure :(

Anyway, loving the images seen so far for the themes :)

Well the TC is just a Sigma 1.4x to fit onto my 120-300m lens, making it 170-420 f/4. The TC wasn't a total bargin, but I managed to pick it up for about the average going rate on eBay and all the others were for a silly (expensive) Buy It Now price, so I don't think it was too bad.

The lens is a Sigma 150mm f/2.8 Macro. Although I don't do a lot of macro, I do miss that critical sharpness macro lenses deliver for other types of image such as portraits etc. Combined with the super shallow depth of field achievable with a longer lens macro it did actually fill a gap. The kind of shallow DOF portraits you can achieve aren't even possible with an f/1.4 lens. And best of all, it was a crazy price from MPB :) It arrives tomorrow so I'll be able to check out its condition - optically it is supposed to be spot on but cosmetically it has been well used (which I don't mind).
 
Excuse me Mr @Dark Knight but in your lovely spreadsheet, I don't seem to have been given my "tick" for week 22 :(
