It's that time of year again where the weather gets cold and I've found a rat run under my garage. I only noticed it because I saw a hole chewed in some wood (where the wall meets the floor) and the bite marks are too small to be a mouse. I got some more light down it and I could see a small tunnel. Thought I could keep them at bay with living in the middle of nowhere but I guess not. The garage is clean with no food or water in so it must just be for shelter.
Has anyone any experience with trying to get rid of them? Never had to do it before but I'm guessing poison and traps is the best way?...or a cat. No I'm not planning the "humane" way, they're nothing but pests and i'll quite happily keep myself armed with a spade
My garage is about 20m away from my house and no signs of them around or in here yet. Would it still be an idea to trap the house?
