Had a mad spring clean of the house today and ran out of time for any other ideas so a bizarre concoction from the early hours of this morning shall do. (It wasn't fire!)
Candy, specifically sugar candy, is a confection made from a concentrated solution of sugar in water, to which flavorings and colorants are added. Candies come in numerous colors and varieties and have a long history in popular culture.
The Middle English word "candy" began to be used in the late 13th century, coming into English from the Old French çucre candi, derived in turn from Arabic qandi and Persian qand, "cane sugar."
Scotty Pippen played for the Chicago Bulls between '87 and '98. Many of those years in the shadow of Michael Jordan. Pippen was often overlooked when Jordan was on court but he is widely regarded as the best small forward of all time.
Good, very good.
The beads shot for me so far, but there are plenty of other crackers in the thread.
Keep it up, plenty are looking and looking forward to seeing all of them.
Longboarding is often thought to be based on skateboarding but is actually a sport based on the art of surfing. Developed as one sport on the west coast of America in the 1950's, longboarding and street skateboarding became popular with the youth of the time, and soon separated into separate disciplines in the 1990's. A longboard, with the right setup, can give the feeling of surfing on hard smooth surfaces. There is a variety of riding styles: downhill, cruising and carving, slalom, dancing, freeriding, vert and sliding.
Seeing as there isn't enough of 'it' (sunshine) at the moment, here's another still life! Its almost light by the time I leave work now so hopefully some more outdoors stuff will follow!
It was going to happen. Dog picture #1. I couldn't even sneak a shot, its like he KNEW it was time for the dog shots to begin.
PS - I'm thinking of jacking the 365 in, a friend made a good point in that it kinda spoils the fun in photography when you HAVE to force yourself to take a photo each day. Its like taking a photo for the sake of it. I've learn a lot from doing it but when the fun goes should I continue?
The Jaguar E-Type (UK) or XK-E (US) is a British automobile manufactured by Jaguar between 1961 and 1975. Its combination of good looks, high performance, and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960s motoring. A great success for Jaguar, over seventy thousand E-Types were sold during its lifespan.
These are the organ pipes at Fotheringhay Church, which we went to eye up today for our wedding next year.
Fotheringhay is a pretty interesting little village. It was home to the castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned and ultimately beheaded.
The night before the execution her executioner was said to have stayed at an old inn next to the castle. That inn then became a farmhouse and is now a bed & breakfast. Its also where we are hoping to have our reception. It could be a creepy place to sleep!
This started out as another product type shot in the light box, but after playing with the flash I noticed the colours bouncing off the white flooring. A few development tweaks and we have dark and light divided by colour.
Danbo takes a moment to learn a bit about photography. He's using a Canon 450D with Canon 70-200 F2.8L lens here. The trick for someone of Danbo's size is lining up the shot and then jumping up to hit the shutter button.
This process is not made any easier when all his subject wants to do is run around with him in his mouth and chew his legs.
