Those are not at all "snide" comments ...... they illustrate the problem of members not reading and understanding what has been said

As above as we rarely go in there, we just see and act on the RTM's.
And that is the sort of thing we see reported.
Along with some so called humour that 99% of the members "don't get"
If ( a certain faction of) the birders just played nice, offered proper critique, then we would have no need to mention the birding forum as one of the "bad boys"

I would still like to know when the last RTM was concerning the Bird Section, if you are still getting them you have not been effective in your moderation

Stuff gets archived and TBH I really cant be bothered to search through all the staff contacts to satisfy your curiosity.
But the last "private" contact / compliant I had was about a week ago.
And no I'm not saying who from or who it was about, its actually none of your business.
It's be good if you put this much effort into the bird forum, helping others as you are mod bating in this thread.

I suggested that a few might like to act more like adults, and take responsibility for their own actions they know who they are.

I am not "Mod bating"

I genuinely want to know if the problems in the Bird Section are now largely over ...... a "warning" has been posted in the bird section

I did put a lot of effort into the bird section - (look at my postings) ...... but I have stopped posting detailed critique as I was banned for such

To be fair its been a lot better in there recently.
However they are still coming through in dribs and drabs,
and latitude is being given because over all its settling down.

My post was polite and 'snide' 'keep up' was not needed, especially in this thread ..

This is why the forum as problems!

Can you also explain what your hastily edited reference to "one of your buddies" was all about? I feel you are backtracking to defend the indefensible. Why not just apologise and everyone can move on?

I do not think that I need to apologise - I was only indication that she should read what i said - is that so bad?

I thought it had been mention in a thread that C_girl was involved in - I could be wrong

what do I need to apologise for - is it a bad comment

It's more likely that you were suspended for the way you put that critique forward, something which would appear to be backed up by the way you have behaved towards other members (and a moderator) in this thread.

Now I suggest you let it go lest things should end up the same way.

I agree it wasn't polite and so do a couple of other people including the person it was aimed at.

I genuinely thought it mean't "read what I said" or keep up with what I said - have I mistakenly used it for "keep up"

You've already been told. We get a disproportionate number of complaints regarding that section. Just because you don't see them and don't agree doesn't mean it's wrong.

all I was trying to ascertain is - are there still problems in the Bird Section? as this morning when I looked at the section there was a warning - that's all - that's how it started

My initial thread stated the bird section had problems so I didn't need to wise up/read up or any such up!

That is not what I intended - as I said - (read my postings) - I mean't read what I have written - maybe it is a term that I am not familiar with in my advanced years

Telling someone to "wise up" is not the politest way of telling someone that maybe they should re-read something,as they may have misunderstood.
Just because someone else uses the term ( yes I saw the edit) it doesn't mean that you should.
