I currently own -
I'm thinking of upgrading but am torn about which route to take -
I like the idea of a fast lens, but in the RF world its limited to a handful of lenses which can be used with an extender, which is why ive had to go with the expensive 70-200mm.
My wallet says option 1 but i'm spending to get rid of the push/pull action and nothing else.
Option 2 is the nuclear option, which my wallet definitely doesn't like but i get everything i want/need for many years to come and a new shinny body.
Option 3 gets me a new body, a spend to get rid of the push/pull lens but isn't as nuclear as option 2.
Any guidance would be gratefully received.
- Eos 6D mark 1 body
- EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM
- EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
I'm thinking of upgrading but am torn about which route to take -
- Sell the EF100-400 and buy the mark II version.
- Sell all the kit and upgrade to a R6 with RF 24-105mm f/4 L Lens but then i have an issue with what other lens to buy. I'm thinking of the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z Lens with an 2x extender *OR* RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM. Both of these offer me the reach. The 70-200 will perform much better indoors, when the light isn't brilliant, than the 100-500.
- Sell the 6D body and EF 100-400 and buy a R6, EF mount adapter and EF 100-400 mark ii.
