I did see one on Ebay a week or so back sold for the emigration reason. It must have been the same lens, not many are about.
 
That's crazy and silly prices!

I thought it was only WHE that had currently priced its' lenses a bit out of the market. They have the Sigmonster for £7,000 while others have it for under £4,000!

But to have the 200-400VR pushed that high is just silly .. how can that be attributed to the Pound dropping in value :shrug:

Can anyone check if prices have gone up in Japan as well? I mean, are these increases coming from the manufacturer, or is it just here in UK?

I didn't see it on ebay, but I would bet you saw the same one. I have to agree there aren't that many in the market, and even fewer would be up for sale at the same time; and even less than that due to owner migrating!

It was going for a very reasonable price .. I saw it at just under £3,000 and thought it may be a good buy ... but seeing how much it's priced now (£7,000) ... I think the seller may have pulled it off the market for the time being :shrug:

The prices are getting stupid. Luckily I've got everything I want (and a few things I don't :lol:), but the price rises really killed my Canon 5D MKII plans, and I certainly wouldn't be prepared to pay the March 1st prices on any of the stuff I currently have.

My £3k of glass is probably worth about £4k now... :thinking:
