Well its now about five weeks or so since the start of the year and my totals are now

Start weight - 14st 6lb
Weight now - 13st 1.5lb

Total lost - 1st 4.5lb (18.5lb)

and my size 34" trousers need a belt instead of being tight and I can get into my older size 32" trousers !!!

Just hoping that I can see 12st xxlb on my scales next time!

Ok, iv ended up putting 2lb back on in the last couple of weeks as I havnt been disciplined enough! Am trying to get back into it now...am exhausted from just doing Davina McCall's workout DVD for an hour - I really recommend it to anyone who's looking for something to do at home! Its made up of 3 30 minute sections so you can just do 30 mins at a time..its not too time consuming :)
anyway, essay over! Lets hope next weeks weigh in is better :) well done to everyone on here for keeping it up!

Well I was down to 13st 11lb on Sunday but Shrove Tuesday coinciding with pub night :nono:

I havn't given up, even after getting back up to within a pound of my starting weight! :bonk: got it back off again so now 4pounds down, and stepping up a gear, need to lose a stone by mid march for my party dress!!!!!
 
I have a similar problem.... if only I could get my wobbly tummy to move up into my bra :lol::lol::lol::lol:

and Min, you can only do that so many times, I'm now a GG to H cup and STILL got a tummy to get rid of as well as the boobs now! :bang:
 
Lost 1 lb this week, 7lb in total (as I had a small gain last week). Happy with that!
 
what a bout a GAIN weight challenge coz im bloody trying to gain it :(

Wahey! had a couple of naughty blowouts. Treated myself to a packet of pickled onion walkers and a creme egg last night (along with a pot noodle for supper).

Nothing too major though, and I havent started back at the gym yet, so I'm quite pleased with what I've done so far :)
 
I was at the gym earlier, still 80Kg in trainers and shorts so I'm pretty happy with that. :)
I've trimmed the weight a little and kept it level for a couple of weeks.

A nice run and a weight session will allow a healthy dinner now :D

Well done yet again you guys. My update as at this morning is....

Still sticking at a pound a week!
Tried to up the excercise this week - I think I got to the gym twice during the week and then I went today, plus did a 6 mile walk. Off work now for half term, so going to try to go every day. Think that should speed things up a bit.

Actually a pound is pretty good this week - I did have a couple of dreadful days where I resorted to comfort eating (shortbread biscuits, muffins, chocolate brownie). I'd forgotten about that! :bonk:
 
Well its now the end of week 6

Start weight - 14st 6lb (25.1bmi)
Weight last week 13st 3lb

Weight now - 13st (lost 3lb this week) (22.9bmi)

Total lost - 1st 6lb (20lb)

Well i'm off to headquarters later for some new trousers

all I needed was one extra oz to see 12st something! Oh well maybe next week.

It's over 2 weeks since my last confession
I weighed in on the 1st feb and lost NOTHING
thankfully on the friday 8th weigh in I had lost 2lb so now i'm 17st8lb :thumbs:

Folks, I may have to amend my target of 11st as I am beginning to feel comfortable with the weight, body shape, and the general fitness I have achieved.
But above all Mrs Galaxy has said she does not want me to lose any more weight:D
Since I signed up to the thread I have lost a total of 17 1bs which is no mean achievement but a few weeks prior to starting IIRC I was nudging over 13st so I have actually lost over 21lbs since just before Christmas!!.

Anyway here are my latest results:)

Sorry I haven't been around much. I've struggled the past couple of weeks with a stall and then a weight gain but I'm back on track now. I also wanted to remind people I keep a blog and keep track of my struggles and achievements with weight loss. I find having other people hold you accountable makes it much easier to stick to it. So without further ado:


Start Weight: 218lbs (15st 8lbs)
Current Weight: 210 lbs (15st 0 lbs)

Weight loss this week: 6 lbs BUT with a net weight loss of 1.5 lbs

I'm withing striking distance of 200lbs (14st 4 lbs) and it is really motivating me to do better.
 
Started: 10th January, 2008

I have really not been doing well got up to 13st 8lb last week so haven't been posting due to being really fed up. However success this week. Have now lost a single solitary lb from start weight so feeling abit more upbeat. Although its 3lbs from last week.

Congrats to everyone who is sticking with this and losing. To those struggling like me stick in there. It took me ages to lose it last time so I'm not expecting miracles now.

HEIGHT: 5' 7"

START WEIGHT: 13st 6lb
WEIGHT 14.02.08 13ST 5LB
TARGET WEIGHT: 12st 0lb
LOSS: 0ST 1LBS
 
Slow and steady always wins the race. You didn't put the weight on overnight, so don't expect to lose it overnight.

I think that's th best advice anyone can take on a journey like this. It's all got to be slow and little lifestyle changes. Major crash dieting changes just won't work....OK they might temporarily, but unless it's a permanent collection of small changes then it will be too easy to slip back and put all the weight back on again....classic yoyo dieting.

Everyones doing really well so far, no matter how much weight everyone has lost..so keep it up!
 
I've struggled this week (well, I haven't really, I've just had lots of meals out and naughty stuff I shouldn't have :D) so have probably had a gain this week. Didn't see the point of going to the WW meeting to be told I have put x number of pounds on :nono: Back to healthy eating from today.

I am confident I should be able to maintain my new weight/lifestyle, I am in really good shape for my age and want to keep it that way.
I enjoy going to the gym/swim/jacuzzi/coffee lounge, and have met some nice people there.
I can now leave a bar of chocolate in the fridge and just have the occasional square instead of finishing off off as soon as it is opened. The "grazing" between meals has now ended and we are eating smaller more healthy meals.

No loss this week, a combination of not moving around so much and taking painkillers that block you up. Still, we have a new treadmill that is going to get used this week so I expect to see some improvement next week :)
 
I guess the other thing is - the floor we got weighed on last week was a different floor meaning that my 3lb loss last week might not have been a 3lb loss but at least its reading the same on my regular bathroom floor now :)

........... struggling! eating a lot less, very very slow weight loss, NOT GIVING UP!!!!!!!!!

got down to 11st 10, lowest in a long time so quite pleased even if it has taken over 6 weeks to lose 5 lbs!
 
well i'm away from home at the moment, so I'm struggling :(

The combination of good food and beer is too much to bare !!!!
 
I have heard, (and I don't want everyone to go using this as an excuse to undo all the hard work! :bat: ) that, if you have a quick binge before srarting a diet it can bump up the old metabolism! ....... It has not, i repeat NOT worked for me! :bonk:
 
I am down to 12st 12lb now so that is 22lb lost in 8 weeks............

I have just found out that 1lb in weight is the equivalent of 3500Kcals hence drop 500Kcals a day for a week and loose 1lb that week OR loose 1000Kcals and drop two etc.

On that basis I have lost 22lbs in 8 weeks so using the standard Mars bar (65g/294Kcals) as a basis for calculations I have lost:

77,000 Kcals

or 261 Mars bars

or nearly 5 1/2 BOXES of mars bars in 8 weeks

Now that sounds better to me :)

Well folks, I have not lost any weight this week despite still going to the gym every day and being careful with my diet.
I am now happy with my weight and shape and don't believe I have anything to gain by losing any more,I have lost nearly 2st since before Christmas.
This will probably be my last update and will now work to maintain this level.
