Apologies if I appear to have slipped off the radar.. actually slipped off a step whilst trying to avoid the cat and have a cracked/broken rib for my efforts. It's been a bit too painful to contemplate lifting the camera bag but I will hopefully be able to catch up with things over the weekend.

I sympathise, it was about 10 weeks recovery time when I did something stupid that resulted in the same.. :(

I don't blame you for not wanting to lug the Canon ship anchor around with damaged ribs (I know how much that can hurt).

Ouch. I cracked a rib many, many years ago and it was one of the most painful things I've done.

Don't blame you for not wanting to get out and about.
