Expensive business this photography lark eh?

:D

Will the previously-discussed critique label be included so as to encourage commenting, good or bad?
TBH I thought it was already there, checking I see its not
Its now available as an optional drop down (y)

Obviously its only available on the start of your thread,
you should be able to turn it on and off, or just add "Critique" to that weeks thread title.

Yep its seems there are 3 themes to a week,
I've not even thought about snappers choice yet.

How about we bring a little Culture into the proceedings this week?

Culture…..well that counts me out

I think I can find something suitable…….

(rushes off scratching head)

Well that's tonight spent working on the book I'm going to make from my 52. Lightroom's Book Module if any are interested.

Originally I went with the idea of just having the images, but adding the themes, alongside my (overly rambling) commentary has actually proved really useful. I end up saying a lot of the same things over and over again, so it's actually quite good (for me) to be able to step back and see the ruts I've gotten into. There's a general "theme" of social documentary to it - which I guess many 52'ers end up doing simply because of the volume that has to be turned out over the year. It makes a really insightful book though and certainly an eclectic collection of images.

12 different cameras over the year (so far!), with 14 different film stocks. 18 images taken on HP5 and 9 on Tri-X with the rest all scattered. They say HP5 is a great film for beginners, but really it's just a great film. I've shot it from ISO 400 through to 6400 and it's been by far the most forgiving of any mistakes I've made.

Thanks for running this Chris. I *won't* be doing it again, but it looks like I will be completing it "third time lucky".

Impressive stuff @Harlequin565. that must have taken ages. So many cameras too!

Will you print it yourself?
No. It'll be a Blurb job. THey usually have discounts around Christmas which is when I do my "annual" books.
