This thread really makes me sad
We have a single young lady, with a shoe fettish ( think thigh length boots lads), who is independent enough to purchase racing car days and supply her footwear habbit and is hooked on the gym (so presumably quite fit)...... And not one single young buck has tried to step in and get her on the rebound....... :bang:

And no one's even tried to flirt with her? Think what that's doing to her self confidence

Come on lads

On a serious note, the OPs fella obviously had no respect and not much love for her, so don't spend too much time fretting about it, think of it as a lucky escape and move on, be happy and enjoy true love when it finds you
Or just stay single and buy lots of cats

Pull yourself together man!

Lucy if i can be of any help... :D

Cornwall? Probably not! lol

I'm first in the tog line, sorry darlin, I'm spoken for and I dont know how you spell inshoorance :D

Lucy, sorry that's happened to you, he clearly had no spine, and that's not what you want, a man is supposed to be there, be a rock to be relied upon clearly he wasn't so best gone and forgotten about you don't need him

Has there been a TP wedding yet?

I'm sure that there was one last year  but I've no idea the usernames of the top of my head, but I'm almost certain that it was also a TPer doing the coverage of the wedding

yeah i remember that too and i can't remember who is was either :help:
mind you with 40,000 plus members i'd be suprised if it was the only one

LOL Glad I'm a canon girl!(

Reading through this thread, I was really warming to you until that moment

But seriously, like so many others have said, you are probably better off without him. I'm sure you are a lovely young lady and someone out there is perfect for you. However bad it feels at the moment, hang in there sweetheart, the right person will find you at the right time.

[BIG HUG]
There, does that help?

Not TP, but I 'met' my wife on a forum... a shopping cart software forum...... how geeky is that?!! Now just approaching our 10th anniversary.

Must be some pretty advanced software to enable you to put a wife into the basket before hitting purchase

thought you'd at least need a real shop to be able to do that

:( Are you trying to say I have a beard. A grey beard at that, and sit around naked all the time? And that I'm a bloke?

What IS that hanging on the wall??

As if I wasn't depressed enough already!!

haha... just as i thought... Lucy's profile has had 44 visits against 17 posts. That's got to be a record :geek:

Keep your spirits up Lucy... just by checking in on this thread every now and then will go a long way towards your moving on i'm sure

No one has offered to buy me dinner yet  Not surprising at the image posted of me lolol

If you're ever in Manchester ;)

...on the one weekend away you've been looking forward to for ages. No explanation, just returning home early on saturday morning, wasting two paid for nights and left alone with all the unpacking to do.

Happy easter....

Harsh. Sorry to hear. Friend of mine just broke up with her bf last week but before leaving he asked if he could have a shower first! :cuckoo: Some people just don't get it, but she saw the positive side to it and used the time to pack up all his crap into black bags and sling it out :D

Happy easter? Sounds more like a lucky escape ;)

Feeling really down tonight. Trip to Lakeside shopping tomorrow with the girls which is keeping me going.

Nick, I hope you're ok.

A freind of mine's fiancee has just broken it off by text message (cowardly little ****) he said (typos are his text spk) "soz dnt luv u anymore, its ovr " and this is a 30 something year old bloke not a teenager - and he's away "on business" (for which i think we can read away shagging other girl(s) ) and due back tommorow - Could this not have waited til he returned.... toss pot

She needless to say is in pieces , and If I catch up with him in the near future I'm really going to have to try hard to restrain myself from setting his phone to vibrate before shoving it up his fundamental orrifice, sideways :bat: :annoyed:

Go for it, he deserves it

:( Low...very low.

I got a parcel today with what i can only imagine is gifts/my stuff returned. I've not opened it yet to see :'(

He does - but i need to be able to pass a CRB for work , and satisfying though it would be to kick seven grades of grit out of the cowardly little cockmaster , he isnt worth the risk

I have however just reported him to the DVLA for having an undeclared engine modification on his car (he's got it registered as a 1.2 Corsa, but he's actually got a 2 litre red top in it out of an Astra GSi - I know this because when they were still together he showed me all the mods he'd made and openly bragged about saving money by not registring the alterations )

This means both that his insurance isnt valid and he's commiting tax fraud by road taxing it for the wrong class - so hopefully they'll throw the book at him, but at the very least he'll have to register the mods and pay a s***load more in insurance (and theres no risk of him thinking it was his ex that grassed him up because he knows she knows nothing about cars)

Revenge as they say is a dish best served with a big **** off spoon

My advice - if its gifts returned sell them and treat yourself with the cash , if he's given you any expensive gifts you no longer want don't return them , sell them and treat yourself with the cash.

Pete, I don't think like you I'm afraid. I would never return a gift. It's spiteful. I won't stoop that low. If he's returned things, then that's he's problem I'd say. I'll just give them to friends or something.

Sad :(
