The pain of being dumped...

I drive like a mad woman though, I drive a sports car every day and now I'm a mad woman scorned.

I pity anyone who gets in with me!

If you don't want to defriend them block him from your news feed or you'll drive yourself nuts trying to find out what he's doing. It's a short road into stalkerville from there.

If he doesn't respond there's a good chance he'll defriend you anyway. Exes on FB are just not a good idea.

I swore I'd remain friends with my ex but I just discovered it was just so much easier and less painful not to.

If someone doesn't tell you what you've done wrong: a) they've found someone else b) their list is ruddy enormous and they're being tactful c) the list is full of trivial crap that will make you hate them anyway so they slink off rather than going into detail d) they're playing stupid ass power games.

Chin up and remember lots of the people on these driving experience days are men. They might be attractive and available :D

He has no worries of me visiting Stalkerville. I wouldn't waste my time or energy. I never asked him for anything other than be there for me, I'm not about to ask for any more.

I can't face defriending him yet. I'm laying low, not posting anything. I don't like to air dirty laundry. Oh....except for here lol.

I might be the first person ever to crash on a lambo day. You really should come and take photos, it could be spectacular!

Ive a fun idea ...ok its spiteful, but heck we're just having a laugh ... :D

Dont remove him from your face book, just get us lot added instead! ....ten or twenty new fans on your profile all exclaiming how pleased we are to see your single at last...

You can always get rid of us all afterwards right. ;)

Was married for 3 years, i worked away came home one weekend the x wife was sat on the settee holding hands with a "friend" of mine and told it was all over!!!, my reply - " oh cheers could have told me before i spent money on a train ticket" rest is history, now very happy with my partner of 16 years.

It's very refreshing hearing all the positive endings.

It might all happen for a reason. Getting over the first bit is definitely horrible.

I have nearly 200 pairs of shoes.....

Nothing wrong with that, you're female

One of my friends doesn't know how many pairs of shoes she has, as it takes to long to count them all. I might have called her the "Imelda Marcos of Bristol" on occasion :naughty:.

BTW driving on circuits is fun, there's so much room to experiment with lines through the corners and so on. Although I'm not used to doing it in my road car so much, I compete in something with slick tyres :D (when it works).

It might all happen for a reason.

An expression I still don't understand
Is it a get out clause? A way of just accepting things?
Why do some people make it out to be far deeper than it is?

If you want to ask her out, adam, just do it , theres no need for complicated excuses .... :exit:

200 pairs of shoes........:gag::gag:

What are you? A Millipede?

If he is no longer a friend there is no need to have him as a friend on fb.

exactly, defreind him on facebook, unfollow him on twitter, take him off your BT freinds and family, - as the streets say "you gotta walk away now... its over" (and i'm not saying that to be mean - It hurts to make a clean break but it hurts a lot more to have a long drawn out unrequited trip to dumpsville)

200 pairs of shoes, think of all the lenses you could buy with that money;)

In my experience most girls are more likely to say "£400 for a lens ? , you could buy 15 pairs of shoes with that"

I suppose most things happen for a reason, but the reason can be pretty prosaic. It doesn't necessarily mean it was anything very profound, or that fate has something better in mind for you. My daughter got 'dumped' a couple of months ago, simply because her boyfriend had some baggage from the past and wasn't ready for another relationship, but it took him the best part of a year to realise this. I liked him - and it's really none of my business, so I'm not taking sides - but it hit her hard at the time.

I don't understand the shoe thing. My wife has three pairs - smart, casual and takkies - and a pair of hiking boots. My daughter is the same. They both reckon shoes just take up space in the cupboard!

Three pairs of the irregular choice shoes that is like. I'm going to Lakeside on Friday, hopefully that'll make me feel less wretched than I do today :(

So come on guys...who will be the first one to ask Princess out on a date?

Could be worse, my ex wife is a member on here! :gag:

So, how old are you Lucy and where do you live?

Im 39 and now the other side of the bridge in Essex.

Form an orderly queue...lol

Mmmn wonder how many guys are going to be at Lakeside this Friday with their Canons fully loaded

Too far away for me, so just discharged the canon myself :D

Interesting thread and quite enlightening can see why you would 'out' on a forum, anonymity and all, but not sure I could do it.

Also interesting is the ratio of replies to Princess and Nick, whilst arguably Nick has the worst of it, he is married after all and has had to leave his home yet little or no sympathy for him while every one is queuing up to offer Princess solace. You could probably do a thesis on this thread alone :)

Anyway commiserations to both Nick and Princess, it has been a long time since I have had the pain of rejection having been married for 30yrs and don't envy you the coming weeks and months.

Probably because princess is the OP so a lot of people wont even have seen nick's post - (also of course a bunch of blokes are probably less interested in flirting with nick  )

Nick has my sympathy. We have spoken in pm. My pain is no worse than his right now.

Nobody has flirted with me! Yet....lol

No reasonable explanation Lynton. Other than he was unhappy. Good enough reason I'd say, just maybe a bit odd from someone who declares their love for you on a regular basis. Empty words now I think.

The right one will turn up when you least expect it

Ah, the old "love is endless until it ends" routine. Unfortunately I know it well hence no serious relationships or getting too dependent for the last few years. Best of both worlds and far, far less hastle. Enjoy your freedom and independence while you have it!

Please don't start flirting with me :)

Strangely this thread has given me some comfort.

It's nice knowing that you are not alone in the world of pain, sometimes light relief of reading this thread is enough to take your mind off everything.
