So true! Our Mk4 Golf (brilliant car) was problematic in the last year we had it (2019-2020) and I refused to drive it. Redcorn came to collect it in August 2020 after we'd got a Mk7 R-Line and a) it started first time and ran smoothly for the first time in months... and b) it is still on the road with its new owner.... As long as you overlook the GTi of that generation I thought Mk4 was 'Peak Golf', with the Mk7 following closely

I went to the optician for an eye test yesterday.
I sat down in the big chair and he started the test.
He pointed and said, "what's that?"
And I said, "it's a printer."
And he pointed again and said, "and that?"
And I said, "it's a mouse."
And he pointed again and said, "and this is...?"
And I replied, "a USB flash drive."
"OK," he said, "so there's nothing wrong with your peripheral vision."
I sat down in the big chair and he started the test.
