Sadly it's true. I've seen many customers not have time to revolutionise their antiquated processes, because they are too busy trying to get through their backlog. A backlog they wouldn't have if they'd adopted modern processes.
My version of this cartoon is 2 drivers in a race pushing their cars from behind. If you tell one to run round to the drivers door, get in and start the engine, he'd object, as the other driver would then be way ahead by that time.
Walking home past the cemetery last night, 3 young girls came up to me and said they were scared to walk past the cemetery in the dark so I said no problem, you can walk with me.
