That's because they're all down here!
When I was of school age, it used to annoy me that within the first week of the summer holiday, all of the shops in the high street changed their window displays to show stuff for school (uniforms, bags, protractors, etc.) and put up a "Back to School" sign.

Make the most of the "Back to School" signs before the kids are even off. When they come down the christmas stuff will start coming out :banghead:
Mind you, one mum the other day, with her son who was maybe 5 or 6, saw the wet dogs and laughed, telling us that her boy usually leaves there looking pretty much the same, as he insisted on going sitting in the water. She has taken to wearing shorts and flipflops so she could go in with him. [its a very shallow stream at this time of year btw with a gravel bottom, though god knows whats in the clear looking water, although it hasn't ever done the dogs any harm yet and we have often seen kids playing in it which I actually rather like, it's exactly what we used to do before the invention of computers and games consoles]I love the school holidays. My journey to work only takes about 4 minutes instead of the 7 minutes it usually takes during term time.
It won't be Christmas stuff, they'll be selling stuff to celebrate my birthday at the end of October.Make the most of the "Back to School" signs before the kids are even off. When they come down the christmas stuff will start coming out :banghead:
