How do I get puke off a netbook keyboard?

Much as I hate commercialmas, I will admit to having bought Mrs Nod's seasonal gift this morning. Had to take her with me to choose the colour. Ended up with an electric blue KitchenAid mixer which a local shop has at a decent discount, making the super shiny electric blue one significantly cheaper than John Lewis. AND they had one in stock!

Now the only question is should I let her use it to make the christmas commercialmas cake???

Crisis of conscience averted! Since it's "not the done thing" to gift appliances to one's loved one, I decided that it was just an appliance purchase so not a gift. Cake mixed and baked and I haven't broken the no commercialmas shopping before December rule! spent the cake baking time rearranging the kitchen so the mixer can stay out to be admired. Want my next car the same colour!!!

There may be some good things about the Sally army but playing carrols on brass in Tesco's entrance is not one of them it is just an annoying racket

That awful row has occurred in the past and my response is to drive straight out again. I have always phoned the store to speak to the manager which means I will not shop there till Easter.

Bah humbug. 12 days of Xmas? More like 3 months of Xmas.... Less than 30 days till.... Easter eggs.

MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Chocolate!

MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Chocolate!

Uggghhhh British 'chocolate' 20% cocoa = Vegelate

Real chocolate 50-80% cocoa = yummy

Thank the pantheon for a local branch of Hotel Chocolat - 70%+ was deemed to be Diabetic proof when it was thought I was Type II and I developed a taste for grown up chocolate as well as CDM. Lidl also do mixed boxes of high % chocolate miniatures which are pretty good (and larger bars for when you know which you like!)

Lidl basic choc is 30-35% cocoa incl their choc with nuts.

I can't stomach most of thd Cadbury (nee Kraft now) rubbish. Loved their Turkish Delight once but I think it is yuck now.

I wonder though, if that's "our" tastes maturing / changing,
or the products have genuinely gone to hell?
I really don't eat much chocolate of any kind,
anymore, I'm still partial to a dark bournville now and again though.

Good point

For me at 59 I remember Galaxy chocolate being delicious but in recent years it's flavour has become bland and not enjoyable in the slightest and thats from when I was in my early 50's.

Cote d'Or chocolate with nuts is really good. Do a taste test side by side with Cadburys Whole Nut and you won't eat the Cadbury's version again.

Could be rip off Britain time. EC ruled that 20% choc bars werw not Chocolate so (as I understand it) Cadburys bars are marketed as "Family Chocolate in some parts of Europe. When travelling abroad Cadburys would never be something I would buy.

Had a card from my brother and his bitc.....wife today.
Why do people see fit to include "news letter" with their cards?
If I gave a shi....damn, I'd already know this stuff.

My ex had a friend that used to include an epic with the card.
Thankfully I've been spared that for awhile now

Well I just emailed her to tell her to put spellcheck on her Christmas list.

I'm confident I won't get a news letter again anytime soon

Yep I guess that might do it :D

Anyone who's had the misfortune of tasting a Hershey bar will know how the highway got its name...

Today we put up the decorations and tree. Now Christmas tree lights seem much more reliable. With LED there's no messing around with bulbs to get them working. But in my house they're irritation has been replaced by something else... window suckers.

Used to hang lights etc in the window and for keeping wires tidy, the damn things keep letting go. Every year all though Christmas much time is spent re-suckering them to the window. :banghead:
Mine are from Tesco  but if any one knows of any good ones please let me know before I cover the whole window in sellotape. :rage:

Talking of hanging things, this
always makes me chuckle...................
