I was thinking the same earlier, I checked magic seaweed after I posted and I saw that there weren't any tropical storms active, they are probably going to make up for it next year

I can predict the weather for up to two weeks with a certain degree of accuracy, anything beyond that then becomes educated guesswork.
I can say that the first two weeks of October is likely to maintain the dry and settled theme with temperatures often being above average values, then it'll start to become more changeable in nature as we go into the second half of October but it is likely to remain quite mild.
What I have noticed is that we tend to get the first proper cold night involving widespread frost and icy puddles by the second week of November, along with temperatures being at single figures widely across the UK by day time.
