The official stats show we didn't have even 1 single drop of rain in the whole of May, and the average temperature was a whopping 2C higher monthly average. I think it's going to be a hot summer.

Woke to some nice sunshine and a light breeze. Looks like its going to be a nice day.
Thats not so good Duncan
hope you made it home OK.
What can I tell you all![]()
Thanks
Not as bad as the early forecasts predicted.
A few branches down on the roads, but nothing serious.
Chuffing windy / wet though :|
Not being a terribly good start to this summer, isn't it?
All I see though is everybody shouting abnormal weather and running around like headless Chickens
There aint nothing abnormal about any of it imo, weather has always been abnormal but hey it gives us a talking point I suppose Cartoons are as great as ever IanAll I see though is everybody shouting abnormal weather and running around like headless Chickens

Great cartoons as always Ian
I'm here in sunny Manchester, and you kow what? Yep it has been raining
but no where near as bad (or as much) as South of the M25.
Seems you folks are really getting hammered in some area's![]()
Anyone else had a thunder storm? We have just had one which lasted about an hour! ....!
But indeed, some lively thunder cells has been popping up at around Birmingham and Derby.
And up a bit Ian
I was working in Scunthorpe today, it started rumbling around, about mid morning,
and was soon lashing down,
the thunder rolled in and out the rest of the day, with assorted sheet lightning and different "degree's"
of rain fall.
Curiously, when I set out at 5am, it was 17.5oC
Halfway back down the M1 at 5pm it was 27.5oC
