Yep watching that Peter....just cant change the brain gears quick enough.

So pleased birmingham went down. Dull, boring side and even duller manager. Really pleased wolves stayed up as I think they have been unlucky in a number of games this season, plus Mick is so entertaining! Pleased fir Wigan too, as I like the fact chairman said that he would stick with the manager if they go down, nice to see loyalty. Shame about Blackpool, think that was their chance and will find it tough in championship.

am i right in thinking fulhams red card means blackpool get the europa spot via the fair play league? or am i being bonkers?

Rugby season started 3 months ago. :p

No not girls rugby...MENS rugby.

Official start in our National League 2S is Saturday 27 August so 2-3 weeks before for pre-season friendlies, so end of July. Cant wait.

Cant wait for the next Whipsnade meet, should be able to make this one.

Well Birmingham blue noses have had a great season in winning the carling cup, congratulations.

Would you swap that win for the premiership? Probably Not.

ABSOLUTE AMAZING DAY for football...

The noses had their best season ever and still go down.

The mighy villa had their worst season in ages and still finish 9th beating liverpool stopping them going into europe. And beating Arsenal the match before.

UTV! Can't get over the genius twist to the season.

Pah. City.

;)

I don't care, not gonna knock anybody after the season finished like that for me :)

Wolves 38 -17 43
Blackburn 38 -16 40
Wigan 38 -22 40
Blackpool 38 -22 39
Birmingham 38 -22 39
West Ham 38 -24 34

As I expected but not what I wanted.

Mick McCarthy is a lucky boy - gutted for Alex McLeish and despite wanting a United win feel for Ian Holloway.

On a selfish note - great to see Michael Owen finally get his hands on a major trophy

not quite. that result had nothing to do with liverpool not making the europa league. tottenham winning did. and thank the lord for that

That's Chelsea for you

He said he would tell the real story about Ray Wilkins once the season finished, so look forward to hearing that. Maybe he had told Roman not to waste money on Fernando?

17-04-2011-
Arsenal is starting to head down a bad road at the moment and I never thought i'd say this but my faith in Wenger is vanishing fast. Everyone seems to have kept their eye on united up at the top and not noticed Chelsea sneaking up behind and even City in 4th. I have serious doubts whether we'll hold on to 2nd this season, and wouldn't be surprised if with our remaining fixtures we don't even see City sneak ahead of us too.

The team needs ripping apart and rebuilding now. We've had so much talent leave and so little come back in. All over the pitch we need to see new signings and I just don't see Wenger being the man to do that. Hopefully the potential shakeup to ownership can filter down and result in positive changes lower down.

- A disenchanted Gooner

I'm better at predicting the future than Harold Camping! Hopefully 4th will work out to be the wake-up call the Arsenal camp needs! I'm really happy for Man City though, and similarly happy to see Birmingham go down.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Ray Wilkins and regardless of liking him for his United link - he's the nicest guy you could ever wish to meet.

God knows what went on at Chelsea but he has more class and dignity in his little finger than that club.

Grumpy Green has mentioned it on the 606 programme on Radio 5, but he isn't sure whether it's true or not.

well it seems like a very complicated system from what i read:

The table is calculated not just according to red and yellow cards but also on positive play, respect towards opponent and referees, and the behaviour of club officials.

now considering fulham got a red and 2 yellows and blackpool got 1 yellow, i didnt see any disrespect to the refs and blackpool did nothing but play positive, it has to put them on top surely

So that's it all done and dusted - thanks for a great thread.

United win by the biggest points margin in a decade

The relegated teams go down with more points than ever

Great season on the whole.
