We had fun in the pub with our mates sat around,
Waiting to make our way to the ground.*
On the way down we soaked up the sun,
Basking in the glory of our FA cup run.*
Half of the crowd dressed in red and white,*
Waving their flags in the air, what a sight!
We sang out our hearts and some let out tears,*
But we stayed till the end with singing and cheers.*
We we're all so close and all so near,
We'll be back again....don't you fear!
Now we look forward to our European tour,
I'll be there singing that is for sure!
And that is the point of this poem you see,
To show you the importance of City to me!

Win or lose!
Go On Stoke!

Glad you enjoyed the day!

Can't believe how poor Arsenal were in the first half. Wait, after this season maybe I can.... :shake:

Looks like the bottom may be interesting.

It is all hotting up.

As for Arsenal - they could end up loosing 3rd spot.

This may be the only time I don't mind losing to spurs so as not to get 5th

Looks like the Hammers are on their way down, and Blackpool may have a lifeline...

I think Arsenal have given up and are already on their holidays :shake: Mind you the Ref isn't too hot

Wigan get a third - West Ham are gone.

So if Man Utd choose to rest their first team so they are ready and fresh for the Champions League Final. Then maybe Blackpool can go and win next weekend at Old Trafford and avoid the drop?

I guess so.

No doubt the rest of the teams will complain if they do and they'll get some silly fine

I've no doubt they'll rest a good few but they'll still have enough to beat Blackpool I reckon, much as I want to see Blackpool stay up.

Porn Brothers, Alf Garnett, Ray Winstone, Evil Witch Brady, David Essex, Danny Dyer, Billy Bragg

Your boys took one hell of a beating

Great result for the Arsenal fans today. Had we won at Stoke and today, then beat Fulham on the last game of the season, I promises you Arsène Wenger would have signed NOBODY!

Breaking News..... Avram Grant has just signed a New Contract!!

400 minutes and Unlimited Texts :lol:

Its a shame for whoever goes down. As for Grant, he never won the players over unlike Zola.

West Ham have now sacked Grant. Bit late if you ask me, should of done it 6 months ago.

The way West Ham (Gold, Sullivan and Brady) dealt with the Grant situation was ridiculous. Shame they've been relegated as I don't mind West Ham, a proper football club.

Alf Garnett was a West Ham fan and please don't use that word, it is to the Jews what the N word is to black people. :nono:

if thats true, why do they chant yid army at matches?

Because they're ignorant? (and probably not Jewish).

Trust me, it's true. I spent a large chunk of my childhood suffering abuse with that word at the forefront.

i'm not saying it not true, but for some reason it's used by the jewish people themselves, just like the n word is used by black people ( for some reason it's accepted.)

i have a lot of spurs fans as friends, they dont seem to mind that term

lawrie?

edit, i spose they arent jewish either

Maybe for a clutch of jewish fans who don't know better but it's still an unacceptable term to me.

I have met Warren Mitchell on a few occasions, had a few drinks with him at a football dinner, He is a spurs fan.

His a West Ham fan in till death do us part, TV is not real life.

Sorry about the Y word, didn't realise only Tottenham supporters and Jew's are allowed to use the Y word .

Yes, I'm quite aware that TV is not real life thank you. The name mentioned was Alf Garnett who was the fictional character who was a West Ham fan.

I really don't want to get into a debate to be honest, I'd just rather it wasn't used here.

I will never use that word again on this forum.

Once Again, I'm Sorry.

Really pleased we managed to beat Sunderland, I just hope we can do the business against Blackburn.

I somehow feel irony could yet play a part if Ferguson plays a weakened hand against Blackpool bearing in mind we put an understrength team out there last season and got fined for it..Sad to see a club like West Ham go down but the mid management at the top has been farcical and you can't help thinking all their own doing somehow.

Up the Wolves!!

As much as I like West Ham as a club, they have just not performed this season and deserve to be where they are. Blackpool on the other hand have given us some really entertaining football this season, and I love the attitude of the club & manager. However, seeing as Ferguson & Alex McLeish are pretty good mates, I would be surprised if Manure put out a totally 2nd string side.

Still shaking my head over the Arsenal result yesterday, and what's worse, apparently Wenger has got Pat Rice to stay on as his number 2. PR has been a great servant to the club, but I was hoping somebody with a bit of steel would come in and sort out a few of the under achievers in the dressing room, Patrick Viera or maybe Tony Adams, even Denis Bergkamp maybe.

Well lets see what happens between now & August.

Have to say, Well done to Man Utd. I wonder how they'll get when Ferguson does call it a day, he's a very special manager that's for sure.

Steve

I think this is the only thing stopping me being too worried about manure as a dominating club right now. I think they are coming to the end of their reign much like all clubs do after a period.

Gigs, scholes, van der sar, ferguson.

All of these are instrumental people at the club and they are all coming to the end of their careers. With man city, chelsea and liverpool having new owners with a new drive I think in the next 4 years we'll see man u drop and some other club begin a period of domination - hopefully it will be liverpool again at some point and we'll leap frog utd for the title record again

Replacing Fergie will obviously be a major issue for the club but I wouldn't hang your hopes on it being the end of an era when those players you've mentioned leave.

Ferguson has developed numerous teams over the years (this one is underway) and many major players have been and gone without too much disruption.

And scholes had not done that much this season. Man city worry me as they have CL to tempt, but think they may still be a group of 11 players rather than a team.

It's the loss of the collective though. The pattern of sports is always that one team dominates for a time but it's impossible to keep it up, look through the histories of all sports through the years, dominating teams come and go. I think the next few years will see the end of man u's domination much like liverpool lost theres. It may not happen the second those players leave but I think it will gradually dissipate as another team(s) gets there chance
