Yup. 12 full seasons, 8 league titles. In 4 different countries.

I'd settle for that [emoji6]

Maybe, but Every club a top team already in that league. He is a good manager, but he's also an arrogant SOB with it. Chelsea have spent a decent amount of cash in the previous years, they had to stay within the FFP rules, hence that's why they didn't go on a spending spree in the summer.

Winning the champions league with Porto?!?

And you get to manage the top teams by being good at your job.

I'm sure there are two Jose's. The man and the public persona. I've no doubt the man is a lovely fella. Not so sure about the other persona though!!

That was the first of a couple of dodgy years in the tournament though

Only just heard the news about Jimmy Greaves.

He has a phenomenal record as player but I'm a bit too young to remember him playing.

Growing up I used to watch Saint and Greavsie on the TV. I know he battled the bottle but that show was (I could be wrong) the first that broke the mould in terms of not being a stuffy football show.

........and the one that cried at not getting the United job when Moyes got the nod.

Maybe 'revenge' is his only motivation now, having won everything already.

"a medic was called at the camp nou during Barcelona vs Bayern Munich game when footballer Jerome boeteng lost consciousness whilst trying to watch the football, Lionel Messi's right foot and Messi left foot"

The Spanish football federation has just announced that the end of the season, including the cup final, will be suspended due to disputes over the distribution of TV money and other things. Amazing.

Not sure how reliable the sources are but it's being reported that United have agreed a deal with PSV to sign Memphis Depay.

I'd actually given up on the transfer as I thought he was Liverpool bound but I'm happy if it's true.

The only reason he'd come to us would be game time. That doesn't seem to be such a big deal for most young players these days.

Top person - I delivered newspapers to him and Mike Gatting and Cliff Jones was my neighbour. When Jimmy heard I was a spurs shareholder he used to give me a decent tip at christmas :)

He was getting inducted into the Spurs hall of fame next Friday, I believe thats now been suspended

I can see him getting game time at United.

LVG may have been a factor too.

I'm sure it came down to CL and money in the end.

We're still not in a position to offer Champions League football.

A poor result against palace today is far from unlikely given our last 3 performances and we've still got Arsenal to play.

But in what position? van Gaal has the Utd players all over the place.:LOL:

Depends a lot on who else joing the club / leaves the club in the summer and who goes out on loan.

LVG said he only went and bought Depay now because if he hadn't, PSG were going to buy him.

I don't think we'll be winning at the Bridge.

Chelsea are on holiday now ;)

Another defeat for United v Palace and Liverpool will be right up for it.
I don't think José does holidays during the season. :)

Huge result for Sunderland. Pressure firmly onNewcastle now.

Leicester winning........again.

Burnley gone then despite the win.
And that win means that Hull are probably gone too, with Spurs and Man Utd in their last two games. QPR are dead and buried too, so I think that's all the fun over until next season.

If I was a betting man I'd be inclined to agree.

Those games for Hull look bad but : Spurs are on a wobble and the United game may be a dead duck depending on the points Liverpool / City / Arsenal get between now and then.

Leicester, and Crystal Palace last year, show that there are always twists an turns. ;)

Not looking forward to the Chel$ki game. I can't see them being a pushover, no matter how hard they have been partying. I just want this season over and start building for next season.

Interesting article about Jordan Ibe feeling that he doesn't need Agents, and that his Mum and Dad can negotiate anything that needs it. He seems to have a sensible head on his shoulders. I hope his parents are getting the best deals for him.

Such a different way of dealing with a new contract situation compared to Sterling. ;)

I read that article yesterday. I guess it helps that his dad is a Liverpool fan!

Paul scholes didn't have an agent did he?

Harry Swales was agent for Paul Scholes. He must be about 90 years old now. He was the guy with the huge white moustache. I think he looked after Giggs too.

So QPR go out with a bang in almost the worst possible way. Can't say I'm sorry to see them go. They seemed to have done everything wrong for many years. It is always the fans who suffer sadly, certainly not the players from the looks of it.

It needs a strong character to go in and sort that mess out, but then I thought Redknapp would have been able to do it. but when they players are locked into such lucrative contracts, the hands are tied to some degree. Redknapp left a mess at the worst possible time, and needs to take a lot of the blame for this relegation along with the players.

So one place left. Who will it be.

Hopefully that won't influence the decisions he and his family make in regards to what is best for him.

Liverpool looking good in the second half..............

This is a great read for all football fans with delusions of grandeur.

With a daughter who has missed 2 whole years of secondary school - it's interesting to see he suffers from ME, now thankfully referred to as CFS.
Same here. They're slightly different, but I've had PVFS for 15 years.

Interesting (the post viral thing)

Hannah suffered from years of tonsilitis.

Evenetually she went into hospital and had them removed and for 3 years since she's suffered with CFS.

CFS or ME was always thought to be a psychological disorder however recent study suggests it is physical.

The fatigue (in CFS) is often triggered by a virus after which your body's immune system needlessly continues to fight on, using all your energy.

Which is why the link I sent may be of use. It's my next port of call.
