Disappointing not to see Jack Wilshire playing, he's one England player who should be on the pitch.

Not on recent form, and I say that as a gunner. Flameni, ozil and Ramsey are playing better for us in midfield. Who would have thought that a year ago!

Sounds like he's spent too much time listening to John Terry's jokes as well :D http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24577352

So who is the whistleblower. No balls to admit it? Hope he gets named and dropped. Thank god that the other players especially Townsend see it for what it is.

See the association of black lawyers were sticking their oar in again, despite only allowing members of certain colors!!!

What a goal by wilshire. Stunning. Almost as good was the third. Shirt said Ramsey but looked more like messi.

Or as Hansen said.....Zidane!!

Seriously though.....what a great start by Ramsey!

Loved that first goal by wilshere.

Arsenal are on top form at the moment. I think the form of Ramsey followed by Ozil fitting right in, has given the rest of the team confidence, and they have all raised their game. Which they had to do. ;)

Ramsey has been playing unbelievably so far this season.  Such an improvement. Long may it last, as he seems a nice chap.

The Liverpool game was a bit meh! Good to see that Liverpool are staying up there without playing consistently well. Hopefully staying near the top will give the team the confidence to get into good run of consistent form. Fingers crossed Coutinho will give them all lift when he comes back from injury.

It's a great season so far. Very unpredictable.

#Moyesin ;)

Holloway had the good morals and honesty to quit when he did, unlike so many that hang on for the pay off like Hughes

Holloway remains one of my favourite all time QPR managers with Gerry Francis. He brought joy, hope and pride at a time of endless doom, 2 relegations and endless other issues. He was in charge for some of my favourite seasons as a QPR fan in League 1 as it now is - I loved those days and miss them.

I will always wish the man well, a nice man outside of his job as well by all accounts.

I was delighted Holloway was returning to the premier league a few months ago. He'll be missed by me if he doesn't find someone else's job to take in the league!

Snap. I have not been to see Rangers since he was forced to leave, not just for that reason but think a lot of the changes there killed me going as a ST holder

I share those sentiments Al and he is the biggest reason I enjoyed our 2003/4 promotion season more than the 2010/11 one.

I can see him getting another job quite soon and all the bes tto him (but not if it's Leeds!)

I liked Holloway - a great character. Shame he felt the need to quit but fair play to him. Though Palace were always going to probably go down.

I think he needs some time out, it looks to have drained him mentally. Shame, 'cause he is a decent sort of chap. Palace don't really have a hope though, rather like Sunderland. He made the same mistake as QPR last year, too many signings on too bigger wage, and none of them care about the club.

Not sure who will be the 3rd club in the mire this year. Gooners go to Palace this weekend, not sure how that will go now as they may have a bit of fight in them.

It's a balancing act when teams come up into the Premier League, the need to add quality, but how many do they buy?

All promoted teams are expected to struggle near the bottom, so to attract some quality players they will have to pay big.

Very hard to make players instantly care about the club they sign for, unless they have a prior connection. You would hope they would be professional and give 100% for the clubs they sign for. If it works, no one says a word about too many new players. ;)

But 14 players ? And what does that say to the existing squad ?

I agree it's about balance, but 2 or 3 players with Premiership experience is much better than 14 guys of whom most have never played in England, let alone the Premier League. It's not all his fault though, the Chairman has a responsibility to the club, and could have easily questioned the strategy.

You saved yourself lots of pain! He whole departure with the Leicester thing was unfortunate to say the least.

Same here - I could never quite warm to Warnock in the same way as Holloway.

If only Hughes had the same values!

I'll be amazed in Arsenal don't win on Sunday but you never know. Our record against Chelsea in the PL the last 2 years was P4, W2, D1, L1, and considering we only won 4 games one season you would not have predicted it. The first game they had two players sent off but probably still should have drawn - it was the most intense atmosphere I've ever witnessed at QPR :)

Utter rubbish from QPR, well done to Burnley well deserved win

Yay - United won !

We were 1:2 down and I popped out to feed the chickens. Came back in and it was 3:2

Important win for us that.

Great hat trick by Suarez today. I'm sure the header for his 2nd had some swerve on it. ;) Sturridge scored a great goal too. Lobbed the keeper from 20+ yards.

Liverpool played some good stuff for most of it. West Brom had a good half hour or so at the start of the 2nd half. Things are positive atm. :)

Johnson's injury looked innocuous, but it eventually forced him to go off. Hope it's not too serious. Good to see Kelly and Allen back after injuries.

Good away wins for Arsenal and Everton. Looks like Stoke were looking good till half time. ;)

Hansen dragging up footage from 2010 to highlight a 'regular occurrence' is a new low even for him. If it was that regular I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have to go back 3 years for another example of it.

I think football is in a crisis of punditry and commentary. The coverage on BT Sport earlier today was absolutely shocking and MOTD is very difficult to enjoy these days!

I did appreciate the irony of David James on BT Sport earlier exclaiming that Chamakh running into Arteta was denying a goal scoring opportunity. A) This is Chamakh we're talking about. B) The only way that would be a clear goalscoring opportunity is if James himself was in goal

When will broadcasters realise paying ex footballers astonishing amounts for their opinion isn't a formula for decent insight and analysis? The BT Sport team in particular is a collection of washed up retired footballers with less than distinguished careers.

I thought the arteta red was a joke. It looked like a real 50/50 challenge than a foul. Not a red. Mind you, at least it keeps arteta out, as he is not In our top 5 mids IMO.

Also, he didn't have control of the ball (it was running to his right) and the "foul" was no more than a tangle of legs. Add to this the fact that Chamakh was playing rugby for 90 minutes and never got a card himself.

The ref was a joke, he didn't give the penalty, his linesman did....

If it's a foul and he's last man, It's a red. Simple as that. It's ludicrous but themselves the rules

Technically they're not the rules. No where in the rules is the term "last man" used anymore.

Perhaps more significantly is how it can be a foul by Arteta when it's Chamakh who deviates from his line and runs away from the direction the ball is going to initiate the contact with Arteta.

Oh well, it's only a one game suspension that will be served mid-week against Chelsea.

It's typical Arsenal that we should lose our top two deep-lying midfielders at the same time!

:agree: Wot he said.....

I honestly think that if we were to contest it, we would win, but there won't be time before Tuesday.

What a refreshing change

Chelsea, Liverpool, City, United, Arsenal - all playing on a Saturday.

I'm not sure Chelsea were playing :D

 Jose didn't look in a charitable mood today

So. the best strike partnership in the league against a defence that's meant to be vulnerable, disorganised and easily exposed...how has that worked out?

Still, we've not played a big side yet this season I suppose

Apart from a very early home game against United, Liverpool couldn't have written themselves a better fixture list to the start of the season.

First true test for them today v Arsenal and I fully expected an Arsenal win.

City and United both picked up 3 points as you would have expected.

Big shock of the day was obviously Newcastle beating Chelsea.

Great win for The Arsenal!

Two goals not to be missed tonight on MOTD, Arsenals second and Stokes first.

Good to get back to winning ways today, gutted that Faurlin was stretchered off though. Just hoping it's not a recurrence of his cruciate :(
Poor lad, hope he will be ok but it looks bad
