Stick around, we're all going to get pie lol

Everybody agrees with Joe in terms of who WILL win the league. He just dropped a huge clanger by saying it was already won without doing his maths.

Keep on digging phil, you'll need a new spade soon

im off to watch cardiff v barnsley tonight hopefully it will be 3 points in the bag

with the premiership looming im getting a bit excited now

almost, it's been used quite a lot helping you dig lately :D

Bit of a squib of a performance last night. Fortunately I had a few beers.

Aguuueeerrooooooo - reminds me so much of Maradona on the ball. He and Silva are the two players I'd have loved to see at United.

the winning goal was very similar to last seasons league winner didn't you think?

oh well. beaten at home by man city again .... another 'embarrassing season' then :runaway:

no this season has not been an embarassment like last season for united. Even though they haven't had success in all competitions when you look at the difference to when they went out it's a big change.

Nothing embarassing about going out of the CL to barcelona or the cup by chelsea. Then the league performance over the year has been of a generally high standard, compared to last year when it was mainly due to everyone else being poor, this year united have been strong even if the other teams were poor.

I think probably last season was a bit of a wake up call for fergie and he's made sure this one didn't follow suit Securing the league with many weeks still to play shows he bucked his ideas up

Just caught the Champions League highlights.

The Dortmund v Malaga game was nuts. Offside cock ups from the ref but an amazing last couple of mins.

Adebayor - signed for £3m, sold for £25m :D

What a joke of a pen. I know there is pressure but a prem player missing the target like that is criminal. Especially from a striker. Bad attitude and never looked like he was bothered.

Shame spurs have no league game this weekend.

I think Spurs lacked a cutting edge, and all their missing players caught up with them. If you could had taken some of Dawson's fight and will to win and put it into Adebayor, they may have got something. :shake:

As for the penalty, if Baggio and Platini can balloon penalties over the cross bar, anyone can.

The 20 worst penalties in World Football History. Baggio and Platini are in there, but look out for #8, the chap gets booked taking a penalty.

It wasn't so much the miss but the absolutely ridiculous run up and then the fact he turned and smiled to the rest of his team. He honestly couldn't have looked like he cared any less!

Arsenal's short penalty mix up still makes me laugh now, but I think my favourite has to be this...

The Wolfman - that was funny.

Champions League draw:

Bayern Munich v Barcelona
Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid

Potentially an El Classico final!

Barcelona will need Messi fully fit to get past Bayern.

Although looking at the other nights game, he just has to be on the pitch for Barca to up it a gear. ;)

Explain this to me. The judge sentencing the arsenal fan for lobbing a banana at bale has described it as racially motivated!

How?

Because Gareth bale is from the race of humans. And people compare him to a chimp. So throwing banana is saying he is a chimp

Do you have a link for that? To my knowledge she hasn't said anything of the sort. She described it as "disgraceful" and "offensive", but no where have I seen her say it was racially motivated. The man's solicitor has stated "It is not a racially aggravated offence."

He's rightly being punished and shouldn't be defended for his stupid actions, which he's rightly being fined and banned from matches for, but it's not got anything to do with race.

Was reported in today's telegraph. Mind u, yesterday Paul Hayward seemed to think that the FA are ignoring racism as the FA didn't see these chants as racist. Rio in the bonfire, ira and you know what you are. Ira is political but not racist.

Can't find any such story on their website.

Meanwhile, it's rarely questioned when fans chant that Wenger is a paedophile. Such unfounded allegations should be met with bans for those singing IMO.

U can't stop it. When I used to watch cambridge Utd there were often chants at players as bad as those aimed at wenger and worse.

According to bbc gervinho should have had a hat trick. Might as well play with 10 men!

I dont know about the racism claim, but the BBC news homepage might offer another explanation for the banana being thrown at Gareth

 not sure about that. He could have had 1 but it was a very tight angle.

Jack has probably been our worst player so far, though a lot of players look like they were up all night watching the Masters. Cazorla and Ramsey the only players really working.

Lol. Was just about to crank up the wenger out chants on 80 mins!!!

 Frantic final 5 minutes! Their goal came from a free kick where the player tripped himself and there was an elbow on Ramsey from Turner before he headed in the goal. Then the ref missed a definite penalty on Walcott only to award a more dubious one on Giroud. Countless fouls missed, mainly by Snodgrass. I hate to bang on about the refs so often but he's got a lot wrong today.

Regardless, we dominated despite being way off the pace we should be at and don't let anyone tell you a win wasn't deserved (as talksport just said). Norwich showed no real ambition and were happy to sit 10 men inside their first 3rd for the duration of the match. The stats reflect our dominance and fortunately the scoreline does too.

Fantastic contribution by the Ox, and credit needs to go to Ramsey for his tireless work-rate and filling in very capably at RB for Sagna. Having such a hard working and versatile player is a massive benefit for Arsenal...if only he could start scoring the tap ins he's missed about 6 of this season :D

Podolski has become a bit of a media target in the last few days with various rumours of him being unhappy, an argument with Wenger and that he's getting sold in the summer. All brilliantly answered with a cracking goal to seal the match. He's certainly one of my favourite players at the club!

How has it not?

Throwing a banana at a black person or a white person is about comparing them to monkeys which are a different race to humans.

Of course it is racist - it's irrelevant whether Bale is black or white

Feeling a bit sore that Suarez is being 'persecuted' yet again, this time for punching someone? ;)

What if he threw a fig or strawberrie at Bale or an Apple, is that racist?

I can understand a banana at a black player is different to a coin at a black player, while to me a Banana is the same as a coin at a white player. Throwing a banana at bale is no different to throwing a pork pie at grant holt!!

Maybe the arsenal fan simply thought the banana skin under bales boot was worn, as when he runs it appears there are banana skins there.

Good day for Everton with both Arsenal and Liverpool slipping up.

I guess that equals a good day for Chelsea and Tottenham too.

Was what I had typed approaching full time.

Good day for Everton and Arsenal in the end.
