I think Villa and Reading will go down.

Then one of QPR, Southampton, Wigan or Norwich - I think QPR will survive by the skin of our teeth - but I am blindly optimistic!

Looks like Samba is going to be on £100k p/w at QPR if he moves. Sounds about right for a Redknapp-QPR combo in a transfer window!

He's on that (including bonuses) in Russia but it was rumoured that he was willing to take a pay cut to come back to England so it's just press speculation at the moment.

Still a massive gamble though.

I think and hope villa will go.

Reading too I think will drop and I think Southampton may well too, or at least I want that. In reality saints may do enough and qpr drop.

Samba to QPR done and dusted for a 2nd record fee in a couple of weeks - £12.5m and £100k p/w, a pay cut from the £147k p/w he was reported to be on at Anzi. Decent signing, but a massive risk for QPR. I remember at the end of last season their wage bill stood at 186% of their revenue, I dread to think what it will be when their annual accounts come out for this season!

It's very risky from QPR. But when Redknapps involved it is not surprising, even when he said a month or so ago that he would be advising Fernandez not to go mad in the Jan transfer window because it could be detrimental to the club.

Both Samba and Remy will leave if they go down. And it'll be money down the drain too.

I sort of hope they stay up...

Harry also said this back in December:

"You shouldn't be paying massive wages when you've got a stadium that holds 18,000 people."

Funny, he did at Pompey. And I think Remy on £80k a week and Samba on £100k a week can be considered 'massive'.

"There are a lot of players at this club who earn far too much money," he said. "Far too much for their ability and what they give to the club.“

"I don't really want to see the owners have their pants taken down like they have in the past."

- Harry Redknapp 1 month ago!

I feel for Fernandez as I think he seems to be a good owner who really wants the R's to be a success, don't like Harry as I think he's a leech but I hope they stay up for the R's fans and owner. Hughes and Harry now have cost that club a lot of money.

Peter Odemwingie to QPR being talked about.

Man United being linked with Younès Belhanda.

is David Villa going anywhere ?

To be fair I would rather pay players like samba 100k pw than a few rubbish players 60k pw.

Beckham jog playing for PSG for 5 months and donating his full salary to a local children's charity. It's a really nice gesture, but I suspect the positive PR makes it more than worth his while!

I'm hoping we sign no-one else, other than maybe another central defender as we have just lost 2.

I'm torn re Samba. I think he will be great for us, and if we did not sign a centre half we would certainly go down, as with Nelsen and Ferninand gone, we literally have Clint Hill only, with possibly Ohonua who can play there.

The wages are just out of this world for anyone let alone us, it seems all business sense left the building once Hughes arrived, and has not changed since Harry arrived (hardly surprising). I just wish our chairman had said this is the team, you can get a couple of loans, that's it. The squad should be good enough to stay up as it is - all they needed was some decent coaching and tactics which they now seem to be getting with Harry.

I really hope at some point some sort of effective penalties do come into football - if this all goes wrong for us, Harry will be off to his mansion on the cost, Fernandes. will head off to wherever and we will go bust - not only that it is unfair on other teams who try to manage their finances sensibly. Administration should mean automatic relegation, not 10 points - I'd even drop teams down two divisions. Clubs seem to have no shame leaving small local businesses out of pocket, so should pay the penalty as well.

I'm not sounding as happy as I should I think....

Good news for the charity though

Beckham has a great PR team behind him, but I firmly believe he is a genuinely nice guy.

Nacho Monreal apparently onboard a flight to London and heavily linked with a €10m move to Arsenal. Cracking little left-back (not to mention a brilliant name for some chants!) but he's cup-tied which means Santos may still have to handle Bayern Munich

Why don't you like Villa?

Boring football just never liked them, and lambert inept. Why not play warnock and bent who are 2 decent players rather than the kids getting beaten each week??? Badly managed they deserve to go down.

Diame release clause has been activated by English club - no news regarding who by though.

Bent hasn't been decent for years. One trick pony and a 6 yard box poacher. Nothing more to his game than that. ***** attitude too.

Bummer, expected it to happen but didn't want it to.

QPR no doubt.

HR-"Who are arsenal looking at? Diame? Yeh he'll do let's sign him so he can facking run round a bit! No, I don't care about our long term financial stability just pay whatever it takes!"

Lol, very good.

Jack Sullivan has been tweeting that there has been no bids. Time will tell.

Odemwingie - I'm not sure who is more classy at present, him or us. I'd love for the deal to not go through and him to have to drive back up.

The chances of me renewing my season ticket are rapidly diminishing, and there is oddly probably more chance if we get relegated, go into administration and stop with this stupidity.

You have to laugh at the stoke fans gathered around sky sports news. They don't exactly do themselves any favours to dispel the negative stereotypes!

I think Odemwngie is busking in Ellerslie Rd at the moment.

Jermaine Jenas has penned an 18 month contract, Andros Townsend virtually done apparently.

Song for Odemwingie tweeted by Mirror Football

"Oh Peter, wooooah .....Oh Peter, wooooah ........You drove to QPR
They left you in your car"
:lol::lol:

Andros Townsend is the type of player we should be going for - he could be quite exciting, is young and still needs to prove himself at this level (he was apparently brilliant at Leyton Orient on loan).

But maybe just maybe we could try and have a settled squad!

Spurs mob looked a challenged bunch too

I've always liked Villa park and the Villa fans - for obvious reasons this season I hope they go down so we stay up. Appointing Mcleish was the worst decision ever, I'm not sure what the issue with Warnock and Bent is, it's strange. They've tried to change to squad too quickly and it shows (that may be somewhat ironic coming from me!)

Townsend confirmed on loan.

Peter Odemwingie heading back to the midlands after spending the evening parked outside Loftus Rd, gonna be highly awkward for him at training tomorrow.

Just saw this tweeted though: :D

New song by Odemwingie "Sign Me Maybe"..."Hey, I just drove here. And this is crazy. I'm in your car park. So sign me maybe"

Stoke were funny

Had a good Sky image but decided to remove it.
