Looking forward to the Manchester United v West Ham United FA Cup Replay tonight.

Hopefully with the prospect of a home tie in the next round should we get through this one - I'm hoping Fergie plays a strong side.

The team against Liverpool was:

de Gea
Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra
Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa, Young
Welbeck, Van Persie

From players available (asuming Young and Evans are out )I can see Fergie going with a complete change.

de Gea, Lindegaard, Amos
Rafael, Evra, Jones, Ferdinand, Smalling, Vidic, Buttner
Valencia, Anderson, Giggs, Carrick, Nani, Scholes, Cleverley, Fletcher, Kagawa
Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck, van Persie

hoping to make some money on a manure comeback so hopefully they will do the opposite of what they did against liverpool and play terrible in 1st half and good in second half

I guess 2nd half performance depends on whether we're behind / level and pushing forward or ahead and not.

Either way - Karen's under instructions not to go into Labour

United's CEO, David Gill, has said they are looking at Zaha but there's a long way to go and that would be something for the summer. Hopefully he's telling the truth so Arsenal can swoop in this month, even if that means allowing him to see out the rest of the season on loan with Palace.

I wouldn't take Gill's words as evidence of anything esp if it was in answer to a question - he's got a track record of just saying any old thing and I'm not so sure he's what we need anyway. Either way, Holloway is wanting to keep him on loan till next season so that would suit whoever isn't fussed about bringing him in just now. I suspect by next season there will be another players who are flavour of the month.

pep guardiola will be the new bayern manager

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21048679

Bayern Munich have confirmed that former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola will take over as their manager at the end of the season.
The 41-year-old has signed a three-year contract to June 2016.
Guardiola will replace current boss Jupp Heynckes, who will retire at the end of the season.
He has been on a season-long sabbatical since leaving the Nou Camp in May 2012. after winning 14 trophies - including two Champions League titles.
Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "Pep Guardiola is one of the most successful coaches in the world and we are sure that he can make not just Bayern, but all of German football shine."

On my phone so can't post it.

I'm a blue but we love going to other grounds and my son thought he'd heard tickets had been reduced to £18 so I was considering taking him. I clicked on the tickets page only to be told I'd missed the game!

SUBS: Amos, Ferdinand, Carrick, Scholes, Kagawa, Welbeck, van Persie.

From the team sheet it looks like we're finally seeing Cazorla wide left and Wilshere playing the number 10 role as I've been calling for. Either that or it's a less likely 4-4-2, I can't see Wenger going that wild though!

Great game and win for Arsenal tonight. Wilshere was just on another level the entire night. Our midfield looked really balanced and dynamic with Diaby and Coquelin in there. Surely Coquelin has earned more playing time by now! Their goal took an absolute hammering, a combination of wastefulness, good fortune and skill on their part kept so many opportunities out until the final breakthrough on the 86th minute.

I'm a happy Gooner :D

Man Utd v West Ham game is poor. It's like a pre season friendly giving players game time that need it.

Chelsea 2-0 up at home to Saints, now 2-2  :) - will Benitez last the season?

Hopefully ITV's highlights show does Arsenal's 2nd half performance justice - Jack in particular. ESPN's commentators seemed intent on running us down for 'only' getting 50,000 people to an unscheduled, early kick-off, rematch amongst many other things. My twitter was a sight to behold for all the hate directed ESPN's way!

Watched a bit of the second half, Man Utd look very open in the middle of the park.

Also, the guy I trust most for Arsenal gossip has stated we've made a £30m bid for somebody but understandably can't say who. I can only think it could be Cavani, but who knows. He's shocked that it's happened, anyway.

I'm not normally inclined to believe these things on twitter but this individual has had his ear to the ground for a long time and known things before everyone else previously.

I had the misfortune of listening watching a match on ESPN recently - I thought they gave the MOTD team a run their money is the uselessness of their analysis.

You could have made a drinking game with the frequency they said 'tippy-tappy' today

'arry Redknapp was on 5Live earlier saying that whilst at Spurs they had a bid of £28m for M'Vila rejected 18 months ago. The offer now on the table is £6.2m. If I hadn't heard it myself I wouldn't have believed it! £28m?!

I'm amazed too - how did we not bid £30m! Oh yeah, that will be what his wages will be...

Here's the quotes for those who like their links:

QPR boss Harry Redknapp: "Loic Remy is a good player, Newcastle do very well in the French market as well, and I looked at him an awful lot while I was at Spurs, but they wanted £20m for him. Yann M'Vila was the same. They turned down £28m for him 18 months ago so if we can pull off this it will be fantastic."

Suarez has come out and admitted he did dive against Stoke

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/16/luis-suarez-admits-diving

everyone knew that one was a dive, does it make any difference that he has admitted that one? Probably not.

I wonder if Huth will come out and admit his intentional stamp in the same game?

meanwhile rodgers speaks out that it is unacceptable and will deal with suarez internally. Does that mean he'll be getting the rubber gloves out?

In the interview in Argentina aired today, Suarez claims the reason he is targeted is because Manchester United hold sway over the English Media. The Liverpool Striker also believes the media are helping Sir Alex Ferguson's side in their quest to regain the Barclays Premier League Title.

Sounds like he's been reading the LFC induction pamphlet without his tin foil hat on LOL
