Don't blame the officials, blame the FA. Charge players for bringing the game into disrepute, cheating, diving, rolling around, it's all ruining the game.

BREAKING NEWS: David Villa signs for Villa, Antonio Valencia signs for Valencia, Nile Ranger signs for Rangers & Danny s***tu signs for Liverpool.

So is tax dodging OK as long as you don't get caught? Or fiddling benefits?

Is "It's up to someone else to stop me" now a legitimate defence?

He's a diving, cheating scumbag. Always has been and always will be.

There isn't a player in the world that would have stood up and said

Ref, that wasn't a goal, take us back to 1-0.

It wasn't as bad as Henry a few years back for France which was deliberate.

I'm glad he's back to his tricks though, others intense hatred of him makes it all the more enjoyable to watch when he scores against them.

Mwwwaahahhhaahahahahahaha.

Ref probably wouldn't have changed his mind - I'm just saying Suarez could have done his reputation the world of good by telling the ref or at least not celebrating as he clearly expected it not to stand.

With regards to other players - didn't 'Stevie Me' do something a few years back - I can't recall  but wasn't it something like he was awarded a penalty then told the ref it shouldn't have been a pen so he then hit a soft one on purpose ?

Another underwhelming Arsenal display.

And who is to blame? The manager!!! How many times are you happy to see such an insipid performance. Wenger cannot seem to motivate a team to win, they seem to do it if they feel like it.

WTF is Ramsey doing playing left wing?????

He does some disgusting, sneaky things on the pitch and that's why I don't like Suarez however I think all he's guilty of here is an instinctive handball.

Having been missed by the officials, not many players would have gone over and told the ref that the goal shouldn't have stood. Given the opposition today - Suarez could have done his reputation a world of good if he'd done that though.

Mind you, we seem to be at it... Cazorla the other week, then Ramsey tripped over his own legs today and went down claiming a pen!!!

I doubt Suarez gives a toss what other fans think of him. Why would he?

Ask him directly and he'll probably admit it. Seeking out the ref and telling him? Naaaaa

The gerrard penalty miss conspiracy was about supposedly about sealing hodgsons fate.

So who do you think are the main offenders then ?

Gerrard became known as the starfish
Young had his superman approach
Suarez gets a lot of stick
Bale seems to be flavour of the month just now

Robbie Fowler might have ala the penalty at Arsenal

I wonder what percentage of goals are scored in a season due to cheating. The hypocrisy of managers is such that they blame the ref for this and for that while they are happy for their players to try and con the officials all the time.

They just use the old " it evens itself out over the season"

Well said by the Mansfield manager re. The handball:

"If it had fallen for us, we'd have taken it"

The drama queens will droll on about it though, sigh.

Great effort Mansfield. Played very well.

That could be the time I was thinking of. I had in it my head it was gerrard.

Yeah that's been long forgotten it was superceded by Dicanio "sportingly" refusing to score at Everton even though there were 2 defenders around him and he probs wouldn't have anyhow lol

Yep - just makes them look even more decent

No point moaning.

In football, there is no such thing as instinctive handball.

Personally, I feel the officials cocked up.

I agree there's no such thing as instinctive handball in terms of a rule but there's certainly times when you instinctively do things and using your hand is one of them.

I had a ball played over my head (I was in the centre circle) and I just jumped up and caught the flipping thing. I'd made no conscious decision to do it - I just instinctively did

The officials got it wrong that's all. The handball was no real crime by Suarez especially as he acted like he wasn't trying to cheat. He knew it wasn't a goal.

What Suarez did after the goal was awarded though was a bit poor - celebrating made him look a bit stupid under the circumstances. 2-0 up against a non-league side - why not just put your hand up to show you're sorry that the goal was given as everybody knew it wasn't so much him, but the officials at fault.

It's in people nature to cheat how many times do you see a player stealing a few yards with free kicks or throw-ins.Gareth Bale hurls himself to the floor at the slightest bit of contact which is technically a foul but morally cheating as he could have stayed on his feet on most occasions.Common sense needs to be applied and maybe the rules need to be stricter if a player dives and gets a yellow card is that a risk worth taking as if the decision goes in his favour he gets a penalty and possibly 3 points for his team. One things for sure i'd hate to be the guy with the whistle

:agree:

So it seems LFC's PR has learnt nothing from previous disastrous handlings of Suarez incidents.

Of course, the issue is not whether the goal should have stood (the rules are clear that it should assuming the officials didn't see the incident). It's not even that Suarez should be expected to cry foul himself. Again, you wouldn't expect too many players to do that.

It's how it is handled afterwards. LFC's approach is straight on the offensive and blame the officials. No hint of culpability.

Perhaps they should take a leaf out of Moyes' and Neville's book by showing some of the humility and integrity that Everton displayed after Neville was caught diving.

what a mountain out of a molehill.

We should be talking about what a stellar job mansfield did and how well we should respect them keeping 96 seats free and how their manager points no blame and isn't moaning.

But instead, once again the drama queens go on and on and on and on. :shake: What a shame

Tom, from that statement I doubt if you've ever kicked a ball.

This in spades.

No, you are wrong, it is instinctive to kick it or head it or chest it etc....the only player that it is instinctive to handle the ball is the goalie so I should need to edit my 1st statement and add - 'apart from t' keeper'

If you are saying that it is instinctive to use your hands in football (as an outfield player, just for all the pedants we have in this glorious forum) you have been coached incorrectly.

Mansfield were great yes but Suarez handled the ball. He has a history of it so of course it would over shadow everything. They dwarves that replay and were robbed.

These things happen. You cannot coach instincts, Tom. nobody plans to handle the ball, but it does happen. I've done it in games and immediately wonder where the hell it came from. I was never a cheat or dirty (never got booked), but I have handled the ball out of instinct on a couple of occasions.

You speak in absolutes that do not have any basis in reality.

You are getting instinctive and an inability to read the situation of the ball mixed up.

Like I said.....coaching!

I would loved to have played football against you.

Nope, I'm not. It just happens at times.

Tommy, my old mate, you'd never have got anywhere near me. ;)

BREAKING: In Spain, Ronaldo and Messi lead the race for Ballon d'or. Meanwhile in England, Suarez and Bale are favourites for Fallon d'floor

Shamelessly stolen from @SkySprtsNews on twitter.

I wouldn't have got near the ball as you would have been running with it in your hands above yer 'ed!

So, Howard Webb takes charge of Man U v Liverpool whilst Arsenal get lumped with Mike Dean for their game against City. Brilliant. Just brilliant.

I'd rather we had Mike Dean tbh I can hear the 12th man shouts already:)
