I always struggle with the stoke fixtures as its the team local to me so have a soft spot for them. They are also liverpool's bogie team and often seem to beat us. Didn't watch the game as I was out spending my winnings on good ale and now I have a sore head.

So you took your winnings from backing man u and got lashed instead of watching your team? You are SACKED!

actually I was always going out, it's a tradition to go drinking with my brother in law on boxing day evening. The winnings just meant I bought all the ale.

Drinking tradition with brother in law comes before watching liverpool play **** at stoke every time ;)

I didn't watch it all either. ;)

Liverpool were dreadful last night, it looked like Stoke just wanted to win more.

Whilst it's true they wanted it more - I think that's something that is all too easily said when Stoke get a hard fought victory. To be fair to Stoke on this occasion - they were also the better team and played some decent football.

I wondered that too. I was looking forward to responding to it.

Stoke are a hard team to play anyday of the week really lads, who do you think will buy demba ba off us in January??

since wenger came out saying it wouldn't be arsenal I would put my money on it being arsenal

I was just scanning through some videos on youtube and was reminded about this rather amusing one. Although it has to be said Martin keown could have been killed, he's lucky to be alive

That one cracks me up - the look on his face as he goes from angry to amused is priceless.

Because when I got up this morning (with a sore head) and read what I'd written - it read nothing like what I'd meant last night.

I know what you mean, you said that man u and liverpool were the two great clubs in the north - it was 50% right

I must have been mashed lol

'Bath Ales' promo tonight - tomorrow is my last day before going on the wagon as Baby due date is getting close.

good set of fitures this weekend, hoping liverpool can step up and beat qpr at home.

Also hoping for another united comeback to line my wallet for some ales tonight :-)

Expect total dominance of the ball, 20 chances and a nervy 1-0. ;)

What on earth are MU doing going in front? I guess an own goal doesn't really count, but it must ruin your chances, Joe.

Well as long as the baggies keep them to 1-0 if it gets to 88 mins and west brim score I should get good odds on a Man U win in fergie time.

Haha, mad mad Arsenal game! Our defence isn't the same without Mertesacker but going forward we've been a huge threat. Walcott has played well having scored 2 and assisted 2 but he's squandered a couple of chances as well.

Make that a 3rd goal!

COME ON YOU GOONERS!

Wenger out?

If Walcott is allowed to leave then Yes!!! He was outstanding today. Even Henry and Shearer missed chances so dont get people who criticise that. 2 of his 3 goals were outstanding, 1st and last. Plus a couple of assists, he is looking great... to think we persisted with Gervinho for so long.

Still think that long term we will not finish 4th, we have Spurs and Everton to fight with for that spot, and if Liverpool were to pick up Theo as well as Sturridge and they hit it off I would not discount them.

Fantastic - just caught the scores.

I'd removed Michu from my FF team and stuck Walcott in instead.

We can't afford Theo so don't worry about that.

That was his last game for Arsenal. Spurs, City, Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, QPR, and
Bournemouth are more than happy to meet Theos wage demand of 90k per week.

We lost Ashly Cole for 5k a week, sadly, this is heading in the direction.

Just seen the last Walcott goal, superb, was like watching Suarez his control was so good. Bravo

No, because he didnt dive, got up (rather than roll around in agony) before slotting home!!

Great goal though.

Was going to swap michu out too until I realised it would cost me a million extra to buy him back once he is fit again

Now... How was Kompany not sent off for his 4th min challenge??? Not saying players should see red for diving in, but that challenge any other week would have been a sending off. All I ask is for refs to be consistent!!

As for Nasri, what a joke!!! Looked like he had died, the way he rolled round, before jumping up. Dirty little cheat.

As per the title and my apologies if this has already been covered, having watched Match Of The Day today I am sick and tired of the "on field theatrics" in today's game.
It seems that today's players are using feigned fouls to gain an advantage. Modern referees should, IMHO, penalise these offenders and be far more consistent with their decisions.
Lets get back to the days when defenders could actually make tackles in the box.
What are your thoughts?

Andy
