And diving is nowhere near as recless as nearly breaking a fellow professional's leg/anklefoot or scraping down the back of their achilles, or biting, or lunging at another player.............Ah b****r...I bit :nono:

See, even you biting wont be talked about anywhere near as much as when Suarez did :nono:

Although, I am playing with Arsenal so perhaps it's more realistic than I care to admit

It's an interesting tactic! I only play the mobile version, so only 2d graphics. I got fired as QPR manager after getting them into the Champions League! There's no loyalty in the game anymore I tell you!

There's been a frenzy on twitter as an apparent newspaper embargo was broken, with news that Jack Wilshere has signed a new 5 year deal with Arsenal. Finally some good news if true! For a bit of a laugh check out Matt Law, Mirror journalist, on twitter. He threw a little hissy fit when the story got broken early

Edit: it seems he has deleted his tweet, sorry to disappoint!

I see Fellani got a nice punch in as well to go with his headbutt.

Good to see Moyes give an honest reaction to it - it would have been easy to have not seen it Wenger style.

Be interesting to see what he gets compared to Barton - Barton got additional games for trying to headbutt Company and kicking Aguero on the thigh - the latter at worse would have given Aguero a dead leg.

Fellaini actually headbutted Shawcross and actually punched him. He's a great player but in my opinion things like this should have the police involved - headbutting someone is unacceptable - didn't Duncan Ferguson go to jail from something similar?

Fabs...are you still celebrating ;) :D

Loving the rumour going round that if Lampard gets dropped today Uncle 'Arry is going to sign him

Madness isn't it, you'd think we'd won the FA Cup! Thing is, when you haven't won a game 16 into the season, that's pretty much what it feels like and that was evident in the players when the final whistle went.

As for Lampard, the last thing we need is another thirty something midfielder looking to extend his earnings potential. We need forwards and some defensive cover, a much bigger priority.

Why isn`t match of the day on the iPlayer?

I could be wrong but I think Duncan Ferguson had a handfull of non-football related convictions for assault.

Firstly, the frothing is due to rabies.

Secondly, i disagree, I think if I looked back there are more posts mentioning Suarez antics from others than me defending them.

That is because of mathematics...generally Dean & yourself v the forum.

Never thought I'd say this but it is time for Frank to move on. But how does TFW substitute the skipper?

Their keeper has had far more to do than Cech but this could go either way. Bring on the second half.

Just googled it - 4 convictions! Only one he went to jail for was when playing for Rangers and headbutting a Raith Rovers player - 3 months sentence. I believe that exludes tgw time he 'detained' a burglar, who wiki says then needed 3 days hospital treatment...

So come on then, how many of you fickle Chelsea supporters are wanting to get rid of Benitez already, seeing as they lost in the final.

Some supporters make me laugh, they blame the manager, but he can only do so much, the blame lies with the 11 on the pitch.

Yes there are fickle supporters here, apparently they have good memories, and don't like what he said about flag flying a few years ago.

Well tbf i think the majority wanted him out before he was in:)

Fellaini gets 3 game ban - Halsey saw the other 2 incidents and deemed them not violent

Pressure on for Wenger tonight, a defeat and some will smell blood - I think Arsenal will win though - Reading's defence is as shocking as ours was under Hughes.

Unbelievable how he could have seen them and judged them not to be violent. How can you see a hand to the face like that and not see it as violence? Proof if ever it was needed that retrospective action should be permitted against at least some incidents the ref has seen.

Genuinely amazing - if he saw them and thought that I'm not sure what he is doing refereeing. Moyes and Fellaini must be delighted, could have been looking at 9-11 games!

Why could it have been 9 to 11 games? Where's the precedent for that?

Because it's a 3 match ban for each incident. 3 incidents = 9 matches. Not sure where the 11 comes from. Joey Barton got penalised for multiple incidents on that match against City, as have many others.

I'm basing it on Barton - he got charged for 2 incidents after the one red card he got sent-off for. He got a 12 game ban for less - but he is Joey Barton and it was the most high profile match of the season, arguably. But he did get 4 matches for not actually headbutting Kompany...

So if you assume all the incidents Fellaini involved in were red card 3 match bans, that would be 9 matches, but then after a couple of sending offs you normally get 4 matches, so assume the latter 2 could have been 4 match bans.

But Barton had already received a red card and then continued to cause more offences and refused to leave the field of play. If Fellaini had correctly received a red card for the head butt, then he wouldn't have been on the field of play for the other offences. 2 totally different scenarios, and no precedent set.

The difference in the whole side when Podolski puts in a shift is immense. Last time I've seen him work like this was against Southampton. That seems a long time ago now

Slightly different I grant you, but I still think the same would have applied. There is no reason he would not be charged, you can't say if he had been sent off as he should have, you can then do what you want afterwards. The fact the F.A. indicated Halsey said he had seen the other two incidents surely says he would have been charged for all 3 offences otherwise. I'm convinced of it, but we may have to agree to disagree and neither of us will be able to conclusively say until it next happens.

Interesting to note the change in distribution from the centre backs. Normally they slide in straight to Arteta, today we're seeing a lot more balls fed wide from them. We look a completely different side :D

Yet ANOTHER example of pure FA ineptitude!!! They are a joke.

Hmmm, and Walcott up front as I have been saying all season...

Goes to show what can be done when you play players in correct positions (no Ramsay on right and Gervinho kept away from the green bit). Still it was against a team 6 points from safety so dont get carried away!

No getting carried away but certainly a step in the right direction. Was also pleased to see that when Ramsey came on for the Ox, it was Cazorla who went wide and not Ramsey!

Theo's pace up front gives the opposition so much more to think about compared to a player like Giroud who is more prone to just sitting in front of them with his back to them.

I've been saying all season that a combination of Giroud, Walcott and Podolski as strikers is the perfect plan a, b and c rotation for when things aren't working. Stops us being so predictable and easy to prepare for. Theo's presence pushed the back line deep to cut out the space he could break into and opened up the middle of the park for the passing game to actually work.

Rumours earlier today on twitter from a good source that Theo had agreed unofficial personal terms with Chelsea, but there's hope it's just the agent manipulating the system to put him in the strongest position to negotiate more money from Arsenal. Hopefully that's the case. I'd sooner lose RVP than Theo, and that's saying something!

Not really but I suppose that's never stopped you, or many others before. So you think The F.A should have gone against what they have done in all previous games this season and over-ruled the referee?

The F.A is actually one of the best run football organisations in the world, but the bashing never stops....
