Whilst celebrating the 3rd goal?![]()
That's what she said![]()
in Fergie time ?

What are Liverpool doing in a list of the top 5 teams?![]()
Ironic statement coming from an arsenal fan![]()

Pretty sure we've been inside the top 5 for the 3 years that article looks at (and beyond), which is more than can be said for Suarez (it's only fair I call Liverpool that from now on, what with them being a one man team and all)

And you've won how many trophies in that time?![]()

That's a fair shot after having Arsenal referred to as Van Persie for most of last season.

Sturridge really?
I don't see all the fuss about him. Very standard inmo
cambsno said:Agree, his is a £5m-£7m player - how can he be worth almost twice as much as Podolski and almost as much as RVP?
Dave Sexton - Sad news
I know they're not really bad but these ankle hits from Suarez are getting more and more frequent.
One against Everton a couple of weeks ago, Wigan last week and now against Swansea.
As I said - I know they're not the worst but are they clumsy accidents or is he just cute with them ?

Dave Sexton was the Manager when I signed for UTD....lovely man. Spent 2 years under him then 1 with Big R. Happy days!
Phil, it is probably because he has such quick feet and has the boy in the playground attitude who never shirks a challenge. It's like Scholes who I'd never call dirty, but the man knew how to mistime a tackle.
Put it this way. If it were someone else doing it then it would be non news. There's your answer.
They are a way off a leaping elbow to the head on the halfway line.
Scholes is just an out and out crap tackler and can be dirty just like a lot of other players. These incidents aren't really tackles though - they are more like he just stands on people's ankles. I can't decide whether they're accidental or if they're deliberate.
I was careful to say that they're not particularly bad and I agree with what you say - again I was just wondering if these are all accidental or has he got it down to a fine art as he seems to either be instantly apologising or acting like he's the one that's been caught. Here's the sort of thing I'm on about and before you think I'm picking on Suarez I'm not. I've already made my mind up about some of his other acts it's just these recent ankle ones that I'm unsure about.
And as for Joescrivens saying that they are just nasty accidents; Wow :bonk: :bonk: Suarez knows EXACTLY what he's doing.
and you know this is a fact how?
Conversely, how do you know they are just accidents? Merry-go-round time![]()
I don't think they are deliberate either, apart from the last one that does look very deliberate.

The rest are just nasty accidents. They are nothing like this for example
Interesting the Suarez talking is coming up because it's been discussed in our house for the last 4 weeks. We're now looking out for his challenges. Sorry Joe but he often goes in studs up, raking down shins or ankles
mindcrime said:You also need to add the stamping challenge he did on Mirallas in the derby game too; same challenge he did on the Wigan player.
And as for Joescrivens saying that they are just nasty accidents; Wow :bonk: :bonk: Suarez knows EXACTLY what he's doing. He's going in to injure players in a deliberate manner. He's never anywhere near the ball and is purposely going for the ankles/achilles. Nasty, nasty, snide little player. Karma will strike him soon!
TriggerHappy said:Exactly, everyone who goes for a fair tackle will miss the ball on occasion because they either misjudge it or the player in possession sees the tackle coming and moves the ball out of the way. The difference is the way that Suarez attempts a tackle. He doesn't try to poke the ball away like is the norm. Instead, he goes in straight-legged, studs showing and regularly goes down the shins or rolls the opposition player's ankle. Of course it's deliberate. Then there's the instances where he kicks and stamps on people where the ball is nowhere near. His actions are indefensible, and it baffles me that the bias of supporters is enough to override how wrong many of the things he does are. I criticise an Arsenal player whenever they dive or make an ugly challenge once, I can't imagine how much disdain I'd view them with if they were anywhere near as prolific as Suarez is. I'd be ashamed to have a player of his moral calibre at a club I cared about.
Of course it's deliberate.
