I see the England squad has been announced for next weeks friendly, I would like to see this formation picked to start if possible

Hart

Johnson, Cahill, Jagielka, Baines

Cleverley

Walcott Gerard Sterling

Rooney Welbeck

Sterling? Only in there because he's a Liverpool player. Zaha>Sterling.

I'd take jonjo over sterling, I think stirling has lots of potential but isn't quite there yet, much like theo at the same age. Jonjo has a bit more to offer right now in my opinion

Personally, I wouldn't have Shelvey near the squad. I think I would have Adam Johnson in instead.

As for Zaha, he looks a good prospect but he needs to be tested at a higher level but is one for the future - if only one of the bigger clubs would buy him - why haven't they?

Adam Johnson has done nothing this season. Both Jonjo and Raheem are too incomplete for England duty, IMHO.

Shelvey No Way!!!

Is Moses eligable??? Would be happy to see him play. Would also play Ruddy, need to give backup keepers given a game or 2.

Three exclamation marks. The sign of a deranged mind...

Because the past has taught us that a big club comes in, buys a great young talent and then lets them rot on the bench/loan them out to a club lower than that they originally came from.

And yes, Shelvey is terrible/ex Charlton.

Honestly, all these Shelvey haters on here can't have ever watched a game of football.

Just seen his free 'kick' attempt in this Europa League game?

We do and not through rose tinted spectacles!

I said AJ as opposed to JJ (see what I did there?) because we still need some experience and not just youth. The call on Moses would be good, maybe he could part the waves for the younger element to come in?

I also think Rodwell and Sinclair were due a possible call up to the side ....and what about Dyer from Swansea....is he eligible too?

Walcott and the ox put a dent in that theory.

Think you'll go up this year? Palace actually my nearest ground now, followed by Millwall , going to have to move back to S Bush before my son starts going to matches, can't have him supporting this sarf london riff raff. In the meantime though would be a nice close away match, though we always seem to lose with Speroni pulling off wonder saves.

I like Holloway and would like you to go up on the basis alone :):

And Smalling and Rooney and Ronaldo and Rafael and DeGea and Hart and Shelvey and .....well you get the gist.

I think they are more the exception then the norm, but does anyone actuall have any statistics to back up their arguments - I certainly don't

I would personally not play Rooney, or Johnson. I'd give Walker some more experience. More concerning is how weak the squad looks, there really is not strength in depth, and that's if you even think the first team is decent. Why is Crouch not in the squad, I just don't get it - is he injured?

Baffles me too as with any tactician you need plan b/c/d and he is an outlet and an obvious one along with Carroll.

Ok league predictions current scores on the doors, long way to go of course, and we all know QPR will be mid-table by the end of the season so Tom will be losing points there

Harking back to my early days as a Palace supporter, I suppose I could mention Kenny Sansom and Ian Wright, who both started out on the Palace youth team and moved on to Arsenal without any apparent adverse effects on their careers... :)

Indeed, and he has a great record - what's not to like?. Maybe it's because he plays for Stoke and not a 'big' team. I still remember how long it took for the likes of Les Ferdinand, David Seaman etc to get in the England team - you just knew if they were at a bigger team they would have been playing \ in the squad. And yes I have a large chip on my shoulder!

i'm starting to like man u a lot more.

That's twice they have won me £70 in the last week from coming back from behind!!

The first thing I thought after going 2:0 down was - I wonder how long Joe will leave it before he puts his bet on to soften the blow ;)

Just watched MOTD without knowing any of the results apart from the Villa v United game.

Arsenal must be kicking themselves the way events panned out in their game.

Same old mistakes. No marking, conceding from set pieces AGAIN. Chelsea after Walcott apparently which is a shame as that is a tempting offer. More money, better club and chance to play up top. How long till we cash in on wilshire??

I was really lucky with this one, less than 2 mins after I placed my bet Man U scored their first goal and the odds halved

Missed all the games today but I knew City were dawing with a few mins to go. Saddened to find out they got a win.

Another great save by mr Suarez, another result that will rile the Suarez haters!

I'm glad he scored - I was hoping for a Liverpool win today. I'd have taken a draw before the game though as I expected a Chelsea win.

The 2800 Hammers that made the 300 mile trip up the A1 won't mind the 300 back

So, what has Suarez done to **** off his team mates? No celebration after the goal, and the look of bewilderment on his face is priceless......whoo I scored......celebrate....whoo-hoo.....Oh, they are over there.......Hey I scored anyway!!

are there any cardiff city suppoters in here or am i on my own.

bleddyn

i don't buy that.

it was hilarious by the way, when he turned around expecting to be mobbed, but don't read anything into it. The papers will do that for you. We'll see "Suarez celebrates alone, looking to move away as he is unhappy at club" headlines soon :cuckoo:

what's this i hear about West Ham bringing Thierry Henry back to the Prem? :suspect:
