Not a fan of Diaby at all, althought throw Wilshire in instead....

I only put Diaby there because he's fit, although I do like him myself. Obviously there's the prospect of Wilshere returning or a defensive midfielder being bought before tomorrow's deadline.

Andy Carroll currently having a medical for West Ham after the Hammers have apparently sold Maynard to Cardiff! Rumours or wishful thinking :)

Well united couldn't have got a softer group there. Surprise surprise!

Arsenal and United's groups don't look too bad. Chelsea have a tougher group.

City were always likely to have the hardest group as they were in pot 2 but in addition to Real madrid - they still got tough teams out of pot 3 and 4

I was hoping that United got Celtic as that would have been good banter up here but I'll still enjoy the Celtic Barcelona games.

Fix! Fix! Fix!

Why is it the moronic fan thinks these draws are rigged?

Do they honestly think Mr McMannaman (de doooo de do do) is intelligent enough to master sleight of hand?

I was hoping to draw them too so i could go watch but I'll probs go to the Barcelona game :)

Come on down Mr Carroll.........

'The Price is Right'........

Good move for Carroll and all concerned. He'll play each week, should improve with that and back with Nolan, assume Liverpool will sign someone on the back of this.

If you are a City fan must be great to have Madrid in the group, but what a tough group to qualify from!

QPR fans have just renamed their club..........Queens Park Deranged.......

Still got you for going down...implode on the horizon.

And hopefully M'Bia tomorrow. Let's just hope it doesn't take until christmas for this lot to gel.

Back down to earth at the Etihad on Saturday, really don't know what to expect.

Just saw a quote that he had chosen us, but nothing official yet.

Think we will lose heavily next two games as we still look shambolic defensively, but once Faurlin is back I expect the whole team dynamic to change - in a good way.

Previous QPR deranged state: guns in the boardroom, administration, two relegations, dire football, dire players, even worse chairmen.

Current QPR deranged state: signing 10 mostly established PL quality players on free transfers or low value fees whilst releasing 14 players.

Will we become Portsmouth - well you never know but I doubt it in the near future anyway. I'm confident we won't go down this year with players we now have.

Fergie is retiring.

(Just putting that there so when he does I can come back and claim to have predicted it)

Joe you are such a sore loser.......don't take it out on me because Liverpool were poor tonight and now have even more of a distraction to their PL survival.

I wonder that when I beat you at some kind of competition, that you would shake my hand.

Granero to QPR - he's class - you heard it here first LOL

I thought it was just a case of Carroll making room for Daniel Sturridge on loan ?

From an England point of view it doesn't look good that two of our forwards aren't wanted by their clubs but the more I think about it the more it makes sesne for England.

Sturridge has some quality and (if it happens) will get more game time at Liverpool than he does at Chelsea and Carroll will get games as he suits big Sam's style.

If those moves pay-off should be good for both players, which may benefit England dependent on whether you think they should be playing for England of course....

What exactly have I lost at here to be labelled a sore loser. Lets look at the facts.

You incorectly claimed that caroll was signing for west ham, then weasled out of it be saying actually you had just said he was going down to west ham, not signing.

The deal was then off.

This week it started looking like it might be back on. then after it had be confirmed by all the media you then claimed to have been right. :bonk:

Lets face it, it's you who is being a sore loser because your inside source keeps getting stuff wrong - is agger signing today instead?

So, there was nothing to be a sore loser about. If you beat me in a competition, i shall congratulate you, but it's yet to happen :D

As for liverpool, blimey I forgot they were even playing such is my disinterest with that competition, i'm indifferent about the fact they are now in the group stages of a pointless competition. Whoop de doo.

Didn't know your team was playing? Not a fan.

I said:

"I forgot they were even playing"

Not

"I didn't know they were playing"

I have much bigger issues in my life right now than remembering liverpool are playing in a competition I despise. Redundancy kind of takes your mind of insignificant things like that.

Apologies for that. Just come out of a year of unemployment myself. Best of luck to you.

thanks

Dissapointed to see dempsey going to villa, can't understand that move at all. Surely they have got to be a chance of relegation

sturridge loan bid for liverpool.

Spearing leaves for bolton - i've always liked spearing but he hasn't realised his potential at liverpool it seems.

van der vaart off to hamburg

Dempsey has screwed himself over by refusing to play. His position at Fulham has become untenable. If he goes to Villa - major regression. Especially as he was hoping for Champions League football.

Basically, he'll go wherever is on offer. I think Liverpool are still in the hunt, but someone might need to remind him they are in the other European competition...

giggles on twitter:

Joe Penrose on Twitter: "Just seen Ronaldinho go through customs at the John Lennon airport."

Dietrich Jeffreys on Twitter: "My mates a lorry driver and he's just seen Messi at m62 Liverpool bound service station. Big Mac in hand."

James Cuthbert on Twitter: "My friend's Dad's Brother's Girlfriend who has a Daughter knows someone's Auntie that works at MUFC just seen Kaka. Loan Perhaps?"

It's looking likely Arsenal will just be shipping a couple out today, it's all a bit quiet with players coming in.

A real shame, but I think it's evident that they need 2 signings to bolster the squad. After what's happened with Theo this week, and the obvious departures, Arsene can't really continue to ride the wave of 'we've bought 3 decent players in'.

I hope I'm wrong.

I'm pretty confused with what AVB is trying to do at Spurs. Apparently he's in pursuit of a high tempo team which is why he's letting Van Der Vaart leave but he's scored and assisted more goals than anyone for them in the last 2 years. Moutinho sort of replaces Modric but I suspect he'll cost almost as much as Modric was sold for, Gylfi can sort of replace VDV but isn't exactly a step up in quality. Seems a little bit too much like changes for changes sake.

I hope Liverpool don't go for him and he has to crawl back with his tail between his legs to Fulham.
