These yellow cards are getting a bit silly

How the hell hasn't Carrick got one yet? 7 fouls no card, Arshavin 1 foul and an immediate yellow card.

We haven't deserved to win today, as usual Fergie gets his tactics bang on against us.

Was silly leaving Wilshere on to, he was always going to get a 2nd booking, just like Cleverley would have done had he not been brought off.

I'm well happy... over the moon.

Give Wenger a new contract now! The man's a genius. We only let in 2 this season, vast improvement.

I think the interviewer summed it up when he said the game was 'subdued'.

Arsenal were just lame once again and United for all the control they had were sloppy with their chances.

SAF was right to sub Cleverley but it was an easy decision with the game as it stood. Subbing Wilshere would have been a far tougher call for Wenger.

Happy with the result but not the scoreline.

Typical Wenger blaming everyone but himself. Taking no responsibility AGAIN!!!

Moaning I considered taking him (Wilshire) off but we had to go forward and attack. We were not in a position where we could defend and we didn't have a lot of midfield offensive options on the bench. You what!!!! You pick the bloody bench, and if we dont have the right players whose fault is that??? Why not get the chequebook out and BUY the right players!! No arguments, that IS bad management!

The penalty, well, if you raise your hands in the box you run the risk, yes, it did seem harsh but get on with it. It had no impact in the end, if anything it probably helped arsenal. Why not take responsibility - we are simply not good enough.

I agree to an extent, but again I'm going to defend Wenger a little. A recent report by France Football said that Wenger made an attempt to sign Hugo Lloris last summer, and Lloris himself was keen to make the move, only for the board to not make the funds available to the transfer. If this is the case, and I'm inclined to believe it is, then the claim that Wenger has the money available to him to spend as he sees fit is smoke and mirrors to deflect criticism away from the ownership and board.

I firmly believe Wenger has had his hands tied by the current board with regards to how much they aim to make from and invest back into the club. They are keen to let key players go like they're a product for the club to sell, but much more reluctant to replace them with anything other than future hot prospects who could be sold on once they're of greater value.

City and Chelsea both dropping points was a nice bonus.

Great result today...I'm afraid I'm not a fan of the ones that have virtually destroyed English football, 20 years on there'll be very little left outside of the premiership.
Win of the day...
Hereford United 3 Shrewsbury Town 1... That result goes a long way in their quest to hold off administration

Had a feeling they would as they both need a result in the champs league

So much emotion over such a silly "sport".............

Well, he found the money to fritter on Santos who is no more a left back than I am. It was only after seeing motd I realised how bad he played and the shirt swapping was a disgrace. Maybe if you are a conference south side at old trafford but not a prem league team. If he really has no money then just say so. Say you need to sell before you buy. BUT, clearing some of the high earning players would free up cash. Let the likes of chamak, arsharvin, Denilson, etc... Go on frees and use the cash to pay better players well and to bring in others.

And for heavens sake, give Walcott a go down the middle and pay what he is worth. Losing players to man city and barca is one thing, losing them to Liverpool will show where we actually stand.

Fantastic finish from Dundee United against Celtic

Two goals in the 89th and 90th min to get a 2:2 draw

I wouldn't worry. We can't afford Walcott.

And in the paper wenger claims wilshires sending off was harsh. What complete rubbish and more proof he has lost the plot and has no idea.

dont have a great feeling about this game against the geordies. They've been making such a thing about their record at anfield that it's just written in the stars for them to win today.

Hope I'm wrong

Santos was only £6m. A lot for what he is but not evidence that the club is willing to spend big on actual quality.

Wenger's always seen things differently to the ref when decisions go against us, that's nothing new.

Who would you like to see take over as gaffa that's actually a realistic option?

I can appreciate the criticism of Wenger, but I don't think there are any viable options out there that would do any better. If we were to lose Wenger I'd see us becoming another of these clubs that changes manager every 12 months following unsatisfactory results and that's a far worse prospect than the guy who still got is third last year.

I never get this whole advantage thing where the ref gives the advantage but then if it ends up in nothing they bring it back for the free kick, surely it should be one or the other. Either give the advantage or give the free kick, but not both?

I think it comes down to expectations. The way he claims we can still win things and ignores the fact we are only good enough to fight for 4th and seems to be oblivious to the obvious is a concern. The fact that its always someone else's fault we lose, his attitude to Walcott, the way he picks the same players regardless of form (city, Utd and Chelsea all drop big players). Too much cash wasted on rubbish players...

I don't know euro football enough to suggest names. Maybe klopp, but then moyes does wonders on far less.

We're stuffed.

Love him or loathe him that was some goal

Just catching the last 5 mins on my phone so expect a Liverpool winner LOL

More dropped points at home. Good performance though. Luis was stunning all game. A masterclass.

Suarez is such a dirty player. How dare he allow colocini to run his studs down his leg like that

*Sigh* Another game we should have won. Shelvey had three decent chances, but the pathetic toe poke after Suarez's run was a doozy. I defend the lad to the hilt, but he makes me scream at times. We really do have to get at least one striker in January.
